Gabe Sapolsky, co-founder of Ring Of Honor and higher up at EVOLVE, has become the most recent addition to WWE's creative team.

The way WWE's angles and Superstars are booked has changed a lot over the last couple of decades. In the early days of Vince McMahon's time as chairman, he and a couple of others such as Pat Patterson and Brice Prichard were the ones who would do all of the booking. Nowadays though, McMahon has a legion of writers beneath him working on Raw, SmackDown Live, and everything else his conglomerate company has to offer.

The amount of people who should be in charge of helping book what we see on WWE television is a hotly debated topic. Many fans believe that it is very much a case of too many cooks spoiling the broth, and that booking was better when it was kept within McMahon's inner circle. At the end of the day though, no matter how many creative voices there are, there is only one man who makes the final decision on what makes it to the ring.

Regardless of some thinking there are already too many writers working for WWE, a new name has been added to the ranks. This one could be a game changer though, especially for the hardcore fans. As reported by Sports Illustrated the latest recruit on WWE's creative team is Gabe Sapolsky. For those unfamiliar with Sapolsky's work, the new recruit was the co-founder of Ring Of Honor and currently plays a big role in top independent promotion, EVOLVE.

Sapolsky's recruitment has not come as far out of the blue as it may seem to some. WWE has actually been working closely with EVOLVE for quite a while now with the likes of William Regal regularly attending their shows to liaise with Sapolsky and scout potential talent for NXT. Now that Sapolsky is working for WWE's creative team, there will likely be even more opportunities for wrestlers at EVOLVE to make the step up to NXT.

Even though Sapolsky is now an employee of WWE, he will still carry on in his role asWWN Vice President of Talent Relations and Creative. That means his work with EVOLVE will continue. It will be very interesting to see how the relationship between WWE and EVOLVE well, evolves from here on in and if Sapolsky's inclusion on the former's creative team will have much of an impact on the overall WWE product.
