There are rumors that The Rock will soon be added to the ever-growing list of stars appearing on Raw's 25th anniversary show, but only via satellite.
One thing that the powers that be at WWE love to do is celebrate any and every Raw anniversary, and we for one do not want to stop them. Whether its a milestone anniversary like 25 years or the 1000th show, you can rest assured that there will be some big moments led by some big names coming out of the woodwork.
A lot of the big names making a comeback for next Monday's show have already been announced and it is shaping up to be one hell of a spectacle. Stone Cold Steve Austin, D-Generation X, Kevin Nash, plus the not so minor matter of The Undertaker's first appearance since WrestleMania 33. You can be sure that this one will be worth tuning in for.
Apparently, there are still plenty more names to come too, and, of course, some that will be kept as surprises for the night in question. According to Cageside Seats, the show will even be graced by The Great One himself, The Rock. If the Hollywood star is going to appear though there will be a snag, it will be via satellite. He is a busy man after all but be prepared for some abuse from John Cena.
It has been quite a while since we've seen The Rock in WWE. In fact, it has been almost two years since we last saw him. The Great One had a short match with Erick Rowan at WrestleMania 32 and his last appearance on Raw came two years ago when he provided some comic relief alongside Rusev and Lana.
The potential satellite appearance of The Rock may not simply be a token gesture for Raw's birthday. There are also rumors that there could be a WrestleMania program in the offing for the former WWE Superstar and next Monday could mark the beginning of that. There are any number of current stars that Rock could step in the ring with in New Orleans. Roman Reigns would likely be at the top of most fan's wishlists, but matches with Triple H and Brock Lesnar could also potentially happen.
