Roman Reigns and Xavier Woods reportedly suffered injuries during Sunday's live show in Sydney, Australia.
According to WWE.com, Woods injured his Achilles and will not perform throughout the remainder of the tour in Australia. Woods suffered the injury while he and Big E were competing against Revival in a tag team match.
Woods was unable to complete the match, and The Revival wound up pinning Big E for the victory (h/t Marc Middleton of WrestlingInc.com). WWE.com will give more updates on Woods' condition when information becomes available.
On top of that, Reigns appeared to have have suffered an injury while during a Steel Cage tag team match, where he and Daniel Bryan were victorious over Luke Harper and Erick Rowan.
Though Reigns stuck around for the entirety of the match, he looked to be in pain and informed an official that he was hurt, per Middleton. The report said that Reigns "took a hard bump between the cage wall and the ropes." WWE.com has yet to provide an update on Reigns.
Reigns is currently slated to be part of Team Hogan (along with Shorty G, Rusev, Ali and Ricochet) against Team Flair at the Oct. 31 Crown Jewel event. Woods' New Day tag team partners, Kofi Kingston and Big E, are part of a nine-team "Turmoil match" to determine who will win the WWE World Cup.
Injuries Could Force WWE To Change Things Up
If Woods is out for a lengthy period, then WWE will have to go with Big E and Kingston as the two-man tag team going forward - and it could set up a long-term feud with The Revival. As for Reigns, if he has to miss time, then Team Hogan will need to find a replacement. We can only hope that the two superstars aren't seriously injured, and that they'll be able to return in short time.
