Roman Reigns is one of the biggest names in WWE today, remaining the face of the company in the last few years. From WrestleMania to SummerSlam, the Big Dog has headlined several big pay-per-views of the company. Moreover, he is also a three-time WWE Champion and one-time Universal Champion.

Roman Reigns pulled himself out of WrestleMania 36 due to the current pandemic, and he hasn't been on TV since then. It's ambiguous when the former Universal Champion could return to the squared circle. Whenever he comes back, several noteworthy names are waiting for him on the blue brand.

10 John Morrison

John Morrison recently made his return to WWE after a gap of nine years. Upon his return, he teamed up with his old tag team partner, The Miz, confirming himself as a heel.

Morrison might have his partnership with The Miz, but he is a great singles performer, proving his worth in other promotions.

As a top bad guy of SmackDown, Morrison could be a fantastic opponent for Roman Reigns. Knowing the quickness of Morrison in the ring, their match could be a spectacular one.

9 Jeff Hardy

After his return from injury, Jeff Hardy's character has become interesting, as his past has been brought in the storyline by the company.

From a drug addict to become an inspiration, Hardy's journey has been incredible. Given the veteran Jeff Hardy is, he could have a good singles run if he goes after Roman Reigns. Turning heel would be a suitable option for him while having a feud with The Big Dog.

8 Daniel Bryan

Even though Daniel Bryan and Roman Reigns teased a feud last year, it didn't commence on a full fledge. Bryan's former tag-team partner, Eric Rowan, was proved to be the mysterious attacker of Reigns, leading to an entertaining feud between the two men.

However, the scenario is completely different now, and Bryan could be an ideal opponent after the return. The rivalry could elevate Bryan to the main event status once again.

7 Big E

Kofi Kingston might have enjoyed a dream single run as the WWE Champion, but the same can't be said about Big E, Kofi's tag-team partner. Whether charisma or in-ring skill, Big E has it all to shine as a singles star, and WWE could finally pull the trigger against someone like Roman Reigns.

Both Reigns and Big E are heavyweights and hence, they could produce some top-notch bouts. A victory over The Big Dog could give Big E much-needed momentum if he wants to establish himself as a singles star.

6 AJ Styles

AJ Styles, the new Intercontinental Champion, has run riot after arriving on SmackDown. The Phenomenal One has been impregnable, winning all Intercontinental tournament matches to claim the belt. Whether Styles still holds the belt or not, it remains to be seen after the return of Reigns.

Styles is one of the best heels of the blue brand, if not the best, and their feud could become a classic encounter between a good guy and a bad guy.

5 Matt Riddle

Ever since Matt Riddle's call on the main roster, the fans have been eagerly waiting to see the Original Bro in SmackDown. After conquering NXT and becoming a popular character of the brand, he would be looking forward to making a similar impact on the blue brand.

Given his charisma as well as the dexterity between ropes, the company has certainly high hopes from him.

With that in mind, Riddle could offer an awe-inspiring feud with Reigns, and the latter might put him over.

4 Sheamus

Bringing back his old persona, Sheamus has been impressive since arriving on SmackDown. He won a series of matches to build the momentum as an evil heel, before suffering his first defeat in the Intercontinental Championship tournament. Once Sheamus gets done and dusted with Jeff Hardy, he could set eyes on the Big Dog.

The two men already had a feud in the past, which didn't reach the expectations. Nevertheless, a rejuvenated Sheamus should be able to give a huge feud with Reigns.

3 Braun Strowman

Braun Strowman was the replacement of Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 36 when the latter backed out from the event. Taking the opportunity with both hands, The Monster Among Men won the Universal Championship at the Grandest Stage of Them All, his first world title in WWE.

If Strowman keeps the title around his waist when Reigns returns, the feud should happen, as The Big Dog deserves the title shot.

2 The Fiend

WWE The Fiend

A myriad of fans had expected Roman Reigns to win the Universal Championship from Goldberg. Had he participated at WrestleMania and won the bout as Strowman did, he would have faced The Fiend as his next challenger.

The match could still happen whenever The Big Dog makes his comeback. A rivalry between Reigns and The Fiend should be a dream match, considering both are two biggest names of the blue brand.

1 Goldberg

The fantasy match between Goldberg and Roman Reigns got canceled a week before the Show of Shows, despite such an intense build-up. Therefore, they could restart the feud where they left off, possibly setting up a match at a big event like SummerSlam or Survivor Series. Knowing Goldberg's stature, he would only come back in a big event against a big Superstar like Reigns.

Moreover, the fans would be able to know who has the superior Spear in WWE.
