Referees stopped a match between Samoa Joe and Roman Reigns was stopped after the former got busted open at a live event.

WWE Intercontinental Champion Roman Reigns is currently involved in a feud with former NXT Champion Samoa Joe, which has been quite entertaining. During a WWE Live event in Toronto on Saturday night, the two continued their feud. The only problem is that it ended up having to be stopped due to blood being drawn in the ring.

A cut opened up above Samoa Joe's eye and even though he wanted to continue, WWE officials ended the match, according to Wrestle Zone. You can check out the video footage below.

This was just a warm-up match for Monday's match on Raw between Joe and Reigns, where Reigns will defend his WWE Intercontinental Championship. One problem for Reigns is that if he gets disqualified like he did this past Monday against Joe, he'll lose his title, according to Kurt Angle, via Twitter.

We don't know if Reigns will lose his title to Joe, but with Royal Rumble not too far away, and Reigns set to face off against Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania for the WWE Universal Championship, we have a feeling he won't be the WWE Intercontinental Champion for that much longer.

It's probably safe to say that Reigns will lose his title before he faces Lesnar. We know he just won the title last month when he defeated The Miz, but as we've seen in the past, title runs don't typically last a very long time.

Reigns is a heck of a wrestler, and while he might be a divisive superstar, he's a guy that we enjoy watching each and every week. At some point, WWE will turn him into a fan favorite the way they did with The Rock.

Comment below and tell us whether or not you think WWE should have stopped the match between Samoa Joe and Reigns. Also, who do you think will win their match on Raw this week? How long will Reigns hold onto his title?
