UFC star Ronda Rousey has been rumored to join the WWE for a while, ever since appearing at WrestleMania 31 to help The Rock take out Triple H and Stephanie McMahon during a classic promo, and now she was spotted at an NXT event.

Rousey last fought at UFC 207 last December, in a losing effort to Amanda Nunes. UFC President Dana White even admitted that Rousey is probably done fighting for his company, only adding to the speculation that she could cross over into the WWE.

Well, Rousey was spotted at an NXT event on the weekend, and a number of fans tweeted about it.

On Good Morning Britain last week, Triple H admitted that Rousey "is very interested" in joining the WWE, and he was "interested in offering her the opportunity." So Rousey's appearance at the NXT event only adds to the odds of her appearing on WWE programming in the future.

Rousey lost her last two fights in UFC—first to Holly Holm two years ago and then to Nunes. Given her loss of momentum and the series of injuries she suffered, Rousey's departure from UFC seems inevitable.

The WWE would give Rousey a chance to revive her status as a world class athlete, and she wouldn't have to suffer the brutal shots to the head like in the UFC. Seeing how Brock Lesnar re-made his legacy since coming back to WWE, Rousey could easily be enticed to accept an offer from Triple H.

It would also be an extremely opportune time for Rousey to join. The women's division is at an all-time high in popularity and relevancy, thanks to the rises of stars like Charlotte, Sasha Banks, Bayley, Nia Jax, Alexa Bliss and others. The Women's Revolution has gone according to plan, and Rousey could easily contribute more to if.

Fans can only hope if her appearance at NXT is a sign of anything, Rousey will be in the WWE before we know it.
