Braun Strowman is called the Monster Among Men, or the Monster of all Monsters for a reason. He is an unstoppable force, a big man who can tear his opponents apart with his bare hands. In that sense, Strowman has won the vast majority of his matches in WWE.

However, there have been a handful of wrestlers who have stood up to the monster, steeling themselves and fighting him toe to toe, even managing to score a huge victory. Without further ado, let's take a look at every wrestler who has defeated Braun Strowman in a singles WWE PPV match.

8 Sami Zayn

Sami Zayn v Braun Strowman Roadblock End of the Line 2016 Cropped

Many fans have already forgotten that Sami Zayn defeated Braun Strowman in a singles WWE PPV match. This may be hard to believe, as Sami has never been a main eventer, and Strowman has always been one of the most dominant wrestlers in the company, but it actually happened.

At Roadblock: End Of The Line 2016, Zayn and Strowman faced off in a singles match with a 10-minute time limit. If the time expired, Sami would be the winner, and that's precisely what happened. Strowman dominated most of the bout, but in the final couple of minutes Zayn made a comeback, hitting a Helluva Kick just before time ran out.

7 Roman Reigns

Roman Reigns vs Braun Strowman at Fastlane

Braun Strowman said he has never had a better dance partner than Roman Reigns, who is precisely one of the few men he has fallen against. At Fastlane 2017, The Monster Among Men and The Big Dog delivered a terrific match, with hard-hitting action and a nice story. Reigns and Strowman pushed each other to their limits, going 17 minutes.

Strowman could have won this one, but he made the mistake of going up to the top rope to perform a splash, and then Reigns hit a Spear for the win. Nevertheless, Strowman would win the other two matches of the trilogy.

6 Kevin Owens

Kevin Owens vs. Braun Strowman

At Extreme Rules 2018, Braun Strowman faced Kevin Owens in a Steel Cage match. Frankly this feud was terrible, and this match had a chance to save it, but maybe it just made it worse. The match was pretty basic and boring, the finish was spectacular certainly, but it made no sense.

Strowman threw Owens off the top of the cage onto the announcer’s table, causing KO a lot of pain, but also giving him the win. One could argue that Strowman just wants to destroy his opponent regardless of whether he wins or loses, but that theory is out, as a couple of months later he went for the Universal Championship.

5 Baron Corbin

Baron Corbin vs Braun Strowman

Braun Strowman had defeated Baron Corbin at TLC 2018, but that wasn't an actual match, as Corbin was attacked by Finn Balor, Apollo Crews, Robert Roode and even Kurt Angle, and Strowman just had to put his foot on Corbin's chest to win. The rematch was a No Disqualification match at Elimination Chamber 2019.

It was a cheap, predictable match. Strowman dominates the match, but eventually Corbin gets help from Drew McIntyre and Bobby Lashley, and between the three of them they beat up Strowman, who tried to fight back, but in the end lost the match.

4 Seth RollinsSeth Rollins vs Braun Strowman

After losing the Raw Tag Team Titles in the opening match, Braun Strowman and Universal Champion Seth Rollins collided in the main event of Clash Of Champions 2019. The match had a couple of flaws, but it was still great. Strowman is a destructive force, but Rollins is one of the smartest wrestlers out there and knows how to deal with big men.

Strowman's selling here was some of the best work of his career, and he looked like a tough nut to crack, as Rollins needed multiple Stomps, and even a Pedigree to defeat him. This was a huge win for Seth Rollins.

3 Tyson Fury

Tyson Fury Vs Braun Strowman

The two-time World Heavyweight Champion Tyson Fury, faced off against Braun Strowman at Crown Jewel 2019. People knew this match wasn't going to be a technical masterclass, but people still wanted to see this colossal clash. Unfortunately, the match was a disaster, a total fiasco.

The pace of the match was very slow, Strowman tried hard, but he's not that kind of wrestler who can carry a match. Fury was terrible in all aspects of wrestling. In the end, Fury hit a right hand to Strowman outside the ring, and the latter couldn't find his way back to the ring and was counted out.

2 Bray Wyatt/The Fiend

The Fiend vs Braun Strowman SummerSlam

Bray Wyatt is one of only two wrestlers to have defeated Braun Strowman in two singles WWE PPV matches. The feud between Strowman and Wyatt looked great on paper, but ended up being quite disappointing. The Monster Among Men won the first match at Money In The Bank 2020.

The rematch was a Wyatt Swamp Fight, which had its positives, but overall was bad. Wyatt won that non-title match. The final match was a Falls Count Anywhere match at SummerSlam 2020, another lackluster match that ended with The Fiend winning to become Universal Champion. Roman Reigns' return after the match was epic, by the way.

1 Brock Lesnar

Brock Lesnar vs Braun Strowman (No Mercy, 2017) Cropped

Brock Lesnar not only defeated Braun Strowman twice, but he did it in a convincing way. Their first encounter was at No Mercy 2017, a solid and entertaining match with a couple of outstanding spots. The Beast defeated the Monster to retain the Universal Title. A year later, at Crown Jewel 2018, Lesnar and Strowman clashed for the vacant Universal Title.

Before the match, Baron Corbin attacked Strowman, and then when the bell rang Lesnar crushed Strowman with five F-5s to win the Universal Championship. It was a very underwhelming bout.
