While Kevin Owens claims to be a prize fighter, Brock Lesnar undoubtedly is the person on the WWE roster who actually embodies that term. Since winning the Universal Championship at WrestleMania 33, Lesnar has worked very limited dates.

In 2018 alone, Lesnar has only competed five times: Royal Rumble vs. Braun Strowman and KaneRoad to WrestleMania WWE Live event against Kane, WWE Live event at Madison Square Garden against Braun Strowman and Kane, WrestleMania against Roman Reigns, and the Greatest Royal Rumble against Roman Reigns.

Last year, after Lesnar defeated Goldberg, it was a three-month stretch before competing in another match, as he defeated Samoa Joe at Great Balls of Fire. This year, it looks to possibly be a four-month stretch, from WrestleMania to SummerSlam, according to the Wrestling Observer. With being the only person with huge gaps between his schedule, the creative control seems to be very favorable on the side of Lesnar. However, it may not be as favorable as one would think.

According to the Wrestling Observer's Dave Meltzer, there is nothing in his contract about creative control. However, Vince McMahon does listen to Paul Heyman and takes their ideas under advisement, but at the end of the day, it is up to Vince whether something is going to happen or not.

Seemingly, Lesnar's schedule is so advantageous due to him being the biggest attraction in the eyes of company executives. Despite this, from a fan's perspective, Lesnar is significantly losing stock as an anticipated talent to watch.

Not only does his appearance schedule draw much criticism, put many also feel that Lesnar does not go the extra mile in his matches anymore, which is partially why his match against Reigns at WrestleMania in New Orleans received "boring" chants, and caused the crowd to direct their attention to the infestation of beach balls.
