Paige may be closer to a WWE return than we thought.
Wrestle Zone says that there is some speculation that Paige was flying to the United Kingdom in order to join the WWE Tour and maybe make an appearance on Raw or SmackDown Live.
PW Insider mentioned that Paige was not seen backstage at Bound for Glory with Alberto El Patron. While that might not be considered enough to be a sign of her return, Patron did say that he believes she's only "days away" from making her comeback. Of course, that could mean she'll be back in the ring either this week or next week, which is very exciting.
To add more fuel to the fire, Paige tweeted on Sunday that she was on a plane. But no one knows where she was headed.
GUYZ. Why do I always get the loud gum chewers next to me on the flights though?...— PAIGE (@RealPaigeWWE) November 5, 2017
Even though Paige was drafted by Raw, she's expected to make her return on SmackDown Live, though plans are never set in stone when it comes to WWE. She was actually cleared for action back in September, so we have to imagine that she hasn't made any appearances yet due to her not being in wrestling shape.
The last time WWE made mention of Paige on TV, she became a part of the Raw brand in July of 2016 as a result of the 2016 WWE Draft. Then, the next month she ended up going on a hiatus due to an injury. Shortly after, on Aug. 17, 2017, WWE suspended Paige for 30 days for violating their wellness policy. She came out and claimed that her suspension was not due to a failed drug test.
Then in September, Paige announced that she would be out for a while as she prepared to undergo neck surgery. She couldn't catch a break as she was once again suspended in October for violating the WWE's wellness policy. Instead of a 30-day suspension, she was handed a 60-day ban.
WWE released a statement claiming that Paige took an illegal substance, though there was a lot of controversy surrounding that accusation.
The good news for Paige is that in September this year she was finally cleared to wrestle. Now, there is some speculation on when we might finally get to see her back in the ring. But her tweet coupled with Del Rio's claims, it's hard not to think she'll make a comeback soon.
