Instead of heading to AEW, it’s possible a disgruntled WWE tag team may be headed to NXT.

The Revival might be the WWE Superstars most rumored to be unhappy in WWE. On a regular basis they seem to make public comments or tease a move out of the company, the latest being a photo of them posing at a live event like The Young Bucks. Scott Dawson recently took to Instagram and posted a photo of himself with his family and noted how little he’s seen them over the past while, saying that sometimes the money isn’t all that matters and that his plan is to remember that when it comes time to determine his future in wrestling.

Some will take that to mean he’s certainly headed to AEW. That said, there might be another option.

Finn Balor was recently a guest on After The Bell with Corey Graves and was asked what’s really different about being back in NXT and he said, “Well the schedule is certainly a lot better.” Graves responded not to talk too loudly as everyone will want to head there. Balor said the more the merrier.

Interestingly, one of the comments on Dawson’s Instagram post came from Beth Phoenix who told Dawson to “Come play with us.” Phoenix is one of the regular commentators for NXT.

Best Of Both Worlds

If the schedule is the big issue for The Revival, it would make sense for WWE to offer them an extension in NXT where the travel is a lot less and the money could still be top-notch. WWE wouldn’t lose the team to AEW and Dawson and Wilder would be a top-level team on a brand that heavily rewards in-ring performance.

The question now is, how will WWE proceed on Friday as The Revival square off with Nee Day for the SmackDown Tag Team Championships?
