It looks like we might be back to business as usual as it was announced on RAW this week that Roman Reigns, the United States champion, will challenge Kevin Owens at Roadblock for his Universal Championship. Reigns teased on RAW Talk following Hell in a Cell that he was looking for two belts and it looks like that could be a possibility later this month.
According to rumors, WWE is planning on having Reigns win so he can proclaim himself as a double champion, much like Conor McGregor was following UFC 205. McGregor was stripped later on but the whole buildup to the event was on how he'd make history and be the first ever double UFC champion.
WWE is looking to do the same with Reigns (though Rollins was already a dual champion with both these titles over a year ago) and frankly, it's been coming as while Reigns was demoted to the United States championship, he hasn't really built it up like John Cena did last year. It was just a matter of time until Reigns was put back into the main event title picture.
