News of four NXT Superstars working together at a house show last weekend fueled rumors that we may be about to see a new stable.

The tag team division in NXT has been one of the highlights of the entire brand for the past twelve months or so. From the epic battles between DIY and The Revival all the way up to the epic WarGames match in Houston last November, anyone involved in tag wrestling in NXT has been doing a terrific job.

Speaking of WarGames, that match very much focused on the use of factions. The more established SAnitY, the new and impressive Undisputed Era, and the makeshift team of The Authors Of Pain alongside Roderick Strong. The clashes between all of these stars have been pretty entertaining but it might be time to introduce something, or someone, fresh.

Judging by what happened at an NXT live event last weekend we may be about to get that. Cageside Seats reported via their Rumor Roundup that Chad Lail, Wesley Blake, Steve Cutler, and Lacey Evans worked together sparking rumors that they are about to be NXT's newest stable. Lail was formerly Gunner in TNA and is yet to really be used in NXT, Blake's former tag partner Buddy Murphy is now on 205 Live, Cutler has made sporadic appearances on television and Evans seems to be on the cusp of her first real push.

A faction featuring three men plus a female star would be a very interesting addition to the NXT roster and would have some obvious foes to battle with, SAnitY. They are also made up of three men and a woman so there would be a whole program of matches ready and waiting for them. Cross and Evans have already begun to clash and SAnitY's resident female needs a meaningful rival to feud with for an extended period of time.

There is every chance of course that these four stars working together was merely NXT creative testing the water and if it does happen in the coming weeks the members of the team may very well have been reshuffled. The initial four would be great choices though as none of them are currently being used to the best of their abilities in NXT and would benefit greatly from the exposure that would come with being in a faction together.
