Considering Bray Wyatt is a SmackDown Superstar who now owns the Universal Championship, what's next for The Fiend and where does WWE send him?

Calling Wyatt winning the Universal Championship an unexpected turn of events is valid for a couple of reasons. First, he's currently a Superstar on Friday Night SmackDown. If you didn't think that was still the case after Crown Jewel, just look at what WWE on Fox posted on social media just minutes after Wyatt defeated Seth Rollins for the title.

"Guess tomorrow's 'Miz TV' just got a little bit more interesting...", they wrote. So, no, Wyatt will not be immediately moved to Raw because he's now the Universal Champion.

At the same time, fans shouldn't expect the Universal Title to make its way to SmackDown. WWE won't have its two biggest championships on one brand, as Brock Lesnar is also a SmackDown roster member.

So, what is WWE going to do?

There are a couple of theories.

First, WWE may be gearing up for a big trade. If the Fiend moves to Raw in a massive swap, WWE gets the feel and vibe of a real sports roster moving a player — something they tried to demonstrate with their very cheesy war room skits during the WWE Draft. Who they move Wyatt for is unclear but it would have to be a sizeable return considering WWE put Wyatt on Fridays for a reason.

Second, could WWE try having Wyatt be the only person to split shows? The reason they might be considering this idea is that, essentially, Wyatt is two people. If one goes to Raw and one to SmackDown, it's a loophole WWE may be able to pull off without a ton of argument from fans.

Third, Seth Rollins may win the championship back. The two are scheduled to meet again in a previously promoted Steel Cage Match on November 4th's edition of Raw, and it's not beyond WWE to just hit reverse and go back to where things were. This might not sit well with fans however, so it seems unlikely.

What Will WWE Do?

Expect Wyatt to be moved to Raw. We know for certain he'll be there this coming Monday. Whether he stays is another story altogether.

If he wins his cage match with Rollins on Monday, expect WWE to figure out a way to get him over to Monday nights permanently. Then expect someone to go back to SmackDown in some sort of talent swap.
