Despite being a key component in one of Raw's premier angles right now, Rusev continues to tease that he might soon leave WWE.

WWE has never been a stranger to some of its Superstars wanting to leave for greener pastures. However, for around 20 years, there haven't really been greener pastures in wrestling than the ones at WWE. At least not if wrestlers wanted to carry on earning the sort of money they would have been making under Vince McMahon's employ.

In 2019 and into 2020, the wrestling business is thriving. AEW might not be on a level playing field to WWE, and it can't take everyone that wants to jump ship, but if certain reports are to be believed, Tony Khan and co are able to pay more than WWE in some cases. Jim Ross and Chris Jericho claim to be on the most lucrative contracts of their careers in AEW.

AEW has been understandably picky when it comes to choosing which former WWE Superstars it employs. In terms of who might be next to make the jump, Rusev continues to tease that he might not be long for the WWE locker room. First, he changed his name on Twitter which, in all fairness to The Bulgarian Brute, might mean nothing. Other WWE Superstars have done the same and remained with the company.

The latest change Rusev made to his Twitter account is a little more telling, however. The former US Champion altered his bio to read "soon to be free agent." Can't really claim ambiguity with that one. Rusev has since changed his bio again so that it no longer hints at him possibly leaving WWE, but you can check out a screenshot of when it did claim that above courtesy of Wrestling Inc.

As with anything involving Rusev on social media, the bio change and then backtrack should probably be taken with a pinch of salt. We all know how much he likes to mess with fans. There's also a chance he has been told he will be switching brands soon and could be referring to becoming a free agent within the boundaries of WWE. We would certainly be up for seeing The Bulgarian Brute make an unexpected return to NXT, or for him to pop up on SmackDown.
