Rusev has something to say to the WWE fans who weren't down with his latest love triangle fiasco.

The Rusev/Bobby Lashley/Lana angle has been building up in recent weeks, with the last bit taking the form of an on-air wedding. The Bulgarian managed to put a damper on the proceedings after Liv Morgan attempted the same after making some raunchy revelations.

While it did not receive critical acclaim, the segment saw to some huge plaudits for WWE. It did beckon detractors, however.

Speaking on Jerry Lawler's podcast, The Jerry Lawler Show, Rusev defended the storyline, noting that the wrestling business isn't all about hardcore in-ring action.

“There are some people who want to watch three hours of powerbombs. And hey, kudos to you. If that’s what you’re into, go ahead and find what’s for you," he said. "We are a broad company and we are entertainment. It’s not about powerbombs, it’s not about arm drags. It’s about entertaining millions and millions of people week in and week out.”

Rusev has also issued a challenge to fans, asking them to lay off the social media negativity but if they must, follow every negative comment posted up with 10 positive ones.

“I want to issue a challenge to the WWE Universe and everybody out there, just in general. When you want to put something negative, go ahead, do it, but follow up with ten positives," he instructed. "It doesn’t have to be about this, but something good, so you can utilise social media not just in a negative way, not just to express frustration, but also positive vibes.”

No Shortcuts

No one has been as committed to this angle as Rusev has been; hats off to him. It can't be comfortable having to play the jealous husband while your real-life wife is being advertised as an unfaithful partner yet the Raw superstar has given it is all.

Who's gonna take on his challenge, though?
