Rusev has detailed his journey from taxi driver to Rusev Day and beyond over the course of the past decade using just one tweet.

The decade we recently waved goodbye to didn't end in the greatest way for Rusev. The Bulgarian Brute waved goodbye to his wife Lana as she ran into the open arms of Bobby Lashley. Only for the sake of a WWE Storyline of course, no matter what Rusev might have fans try and believe on Twitter.

Speaking of Rusev's Twitter, it has been one of the most fun timelines to keep an eye on during 2019. The former US Champion is rarely afraid to tell the world how he feels. Thankfully, it seems as if that trend will continue into 2020. Rusev took to Twitter this week and although his post was not a controversial one, it was an incredibly interesting tweet detailing the journey he has been on over the last decade.

Rusev used his 280 characters very creatively, picking one thing from each year of the past decade that has helped define him. The most telling was the very first year, all the way back in 2010. For fans who didn't already know, Rusev was a taxi driver at the start of the last decade. That alone should tell you how far he had come by the close of the same decade a few days ago.

The next three years reveal his signing with WWE, but then suffering potentially career-ending injuries. In fact, the 2013 take home is that WWE told him he had 60 days to get better or he'd be fired. From there, he debuted on the main roster, rode a tank to the ring at WrestleMania, got married, wrestled The Undertaker, and finally became a US citizen.

Needless to say, it has been quite a decade for Rusev, and he has good reason to be excited about what this new one has in store for him. Although the current love triangle storyline he's involved in isn't for everyone, it is getting Rusev plenty of TV time and painting him to be the hero. Who knows? It might be the launching pad he needs to finally become a legitimate World Title contender, leading to the happiest Rusev Day of all.
