Despite an assumption Rusev might not enjoy the current storyline he's playing out on Monday Night Raw each week, his thoughts on the angle may surprise many fans in the WWE Universe.
If you were asked to watch your wife make out with another man on television every week, it would be understandable if you might not be looking forward to showing up to work for every episode of Raw that the storyline adds another layer. Yet, Rusev feels like he, Lana and Bobby Lashley have the hottest story going in WWE and his work isn't being forced upon him by WWE. "It's a collaboration," Rusev revealed.
Saying everyone is working together to come up with the storyline each week, Rusev recently spoke with The Sun and says at worst, "There's adjustments that we make, but that's just life."
When asked about how he really feels about the storyline, he responded, "It's great." He added,"I think we are in the best storyline currently going on and the best storyline that's been around for years. It's getting a lot of views and a lot of eyes on it." Rusev is aware not everyone likes the storyline, but he notes that some people love it and at the end of the day, "it's the hottest storyline going on."
How He Approaches WWE Storylines
Rusev says he doesn't get bothered by the storylines he's asked to do. "One day you ride a tank but the next day, you do nothing but main event dark matches so it's a big wave, you just gotta ride the wave and do the best with anything that is given to you."
Saying you have to enjoy everything you do because there are things you can't control, "I'm just having a blast with it."
