The country of Bulgaria isn't exactly a hotbed in terms of football fans. Of the 18,000+ players in NFL history, only one was born in the country. Yet, one of its most popular athletes, Rusev, suddenly became a fan of the University of Alabama and its football team.
What had Rusev screaming "Roll Tide" during last night's National Championship Game? Well, it actually has little to do with his love for Nick Saban or Alabama. Rusev just felt the need to rub salt in the wound of one of Georgia's biggest fans in AJ Styles.
Styles was raised in Georgia and currently lives about an hour from UGA's campus. He is an unabashed "Georgia Boy" and proudly reps his home-state team throughout his social media accounts.
Styles hasn't commented on Twitter or Instagram since the loss, but perhaps he's just waiting until tonight on SmackDown Live to take out his frustration.

Rusev wasn't the only one who was thinking about Styles during the championship game. Xavier Woods recorded Big E (a former college football player himself) watching the game and his reaction to a shanked game-winning football was classic.
"I don't have a dog in the fight and I'm tense," said Big E. "AJ must be losing his mind!"
WWE usually rewards champion teams or individuals with custom WWE championship belts. The Houston Astros received one courtesy of Triple H after they won the World Series in 2017.
Formula One driver, Lewis Hamilton, also received a belt from The Game after winning the World Drivers' Championship for the fourth time.
There's no word on if Triple H is already working on hooking up Nick Saban with a belt of his own, but Alabama did create some more distance between themselves and The Game. The win last night gave the Crimson Tide their 17th national championship while Triple H can lay claim to 14 world champion reigns of his own.
