The duo won the World Tag Team Championship by defeating the Evolution team of Ric Flair and Batista. Booker and RVD defended the titles at WrestleMania 20, but they dropped the belts a week later. The run was going fine and could have ranked higher with more time.

The new heel character for Van Dam saw him bragging about revolutionizing the industry while enjoying the perks of his girlfriend with some segments that almost got them kicked off Twitch due to the racy nature.

One of the short-term tag teams for Rob Van Dam saw him teaming up with another friend in Rey Mysterio. The duo of RVD and Mysterio won the WWE Tag Team Championship together in 2004 on the Smackdown brand.

Both wrestlers were considered among the most exciting performers at the time with strong fan bases. The tag matches were entertaining, but Van Dam suffered an injury to end the run faster than expected.

7 Top TNA Face

WWE bringing back ECW as a third brand in 2006 saw Rob Van Dam excited about his favorite promotion having another run. RVD won the Money in the Bank briefcase and defeated John Cena to win the WWE Championship to start the new ECW.

The ECW Championship was also awarded to Van Dam to start the brand off with him as the top superstar. Things were going strong for about a month for RVD until the infamous moment of getting pulled over with drugs in his car. If not for the suspension, this chapter of Van Dam’s career could be even higher.

4 Breakout Invasion Star

No one could have guessed that Vince McMahon booking a WWE vs WCW storyline would see Rob Van Dam as the breakout star. The weak start to the Invasion angle saw ECW added to the mix teaming up with WCW to form The Alliance.

RVD delivered superb matches to get over instantly when joining the storyline with standout performances against Jeff Hardy, Chris Jericho, and Kurt Angle. Fans treated Van Dam like the top star in the entire storyline just a few months into his debut.

3 Tag Team With Kane

Another tag team for Rob Van Dam featured him teaming up with Kane when both singles stars needed something new. The chemistry between RVD and Kane saw them becoming one of the most popular tag teams of the Ruthless Aggression Era.

Fans ate it up when the duo won the World Tag Team Championship together on the Raw brand. The duo had more legs to have a longer run, but WWE split them due to wanting Kane unmasked. Fans turned against Kane for his heel character targeting Van Dam as WWE used their success to set up Kane’s next chapter.

The start of the brand split in 2002 saw Rob Van Dam as arguably the most popular face on Raw for the first few years. RVD was coming off the spectacular Invasion run, and fans wanted to see more of him.

The Intercontinental Championship featured many great Van Dam matches against the likes of Eddie Guerrero, Christian, Randy Orton, and many others. Unfortunately, WWE never elevated RVD into a World Championship role during the hottest run of his stint in the company.

The singles run of Rob Van Dam in ECW reached a peak during his Television Championship reign. Van Dam defeated Bam Bam Bigelow in a great match that started things off hot. The record-breaking run saw RVD holding the belt for 700 days before vacating it due to injury.

ECW fans treated Van Dam like the main event every time he performed during this time despite holding a mid-card title. The incredible work of RVD cemented him as an all-time ECW great and the new face of the company until an injury ended the TV Championship reign.
