On his own The Big Guy podcast, Ryback, a former WWE wrestler, discussed the deal made with FOX to air SmackDown Live on Friday nights. The five-year agreement, which is said to be worth an estimated $1 billion, will help new talent find success, according to Ryback.

"That is a lot of money. That is a huge deal," he added [h/t WrestlingInc]. "I stopped trading WWE stock many years ago, but I wish I was in that before that happened. That would have worked out nicely. That is great." The added exposure will surely benefit WWE, which will be added to FOX’s primetime roster, alongside MLB and NFL games.

"Congratulations to them, that is a lot of money. That is definitely a lot more than their previous TV deal. You can't knock them for signing that one," Ryback said. "Exposure-wise because with the sports programming, and having it tied in, they will promote that with the other shows, which will get them more eyes now. It is not just on one channel, it is on several channels, so that is amazing for WWE."

Ryback was also asked about the All In event planned by Cody Rhodes and The Young Bucks. He believes the success of the show, which sold out in half an hour, will pave the way for future wrestling events. Ryback praised Rhodes for their show selling out so quickly despite fans not knowing what other matches take place at the event.

"I am sure they are going to have a stacked lineup all the way down the lineup, I can imagine. That is definitely a huge victory for them. It makes you wonder if they would have ran a bigger arena, how big could this have been? It is already enormous for professional wrestling and for them. It is one show but it is eventually knocking down the doors and it is opening up bigger doors for much bigger shows," Ryback said. “I am extremely happy for him and all those guys. They set a goal and they did it. Anybody who has anything negative to say about that, that isn't cool I will say."

Ryback commended Rhodes and the Young Bucks for finding success without help from WWE. “[With this event], it proves that you don't need WWE in order to be successful, these guys are proving that. With their Hot Topic license, I am sure they are doing more than OK," Ryback added.

In regards to CM Punk, a former WWE Champion and current UFC fighter, who will make an appearance during the All In weekend in Chicago for a meet and greet, Ryback thinks there is a chance the former wrestler could enter the ring as well. The determining factor, Ryback said, is the outcome of his fight at UFC 225 on June 9, where he will face Mike Jackson.

"Doing the signing is one thing, but again, it is professional wrestling. I am sure he would be welcomed back. That would be one way to have people talk about the show with him doing an appearance," Ryback added.

In 2014, CM Punk dissed Ryback, who he called a "steroid guy," adding that wrestling had taken twenty years off his life. He also alleged that Ryback had intentionally broken his ribs during a match. Ryback denied these claims, saying he wouldn’t be on the WWE circuit with top talent if he were dangerous. Wrestler Chris Jericho also dismissed the accusations, adding that "Having worked with [him], I've never seen those types of things... it was always fun".
