Sable became one of the biggest female stars in WWE history when getting over during the Attitude Era. WWE was the only promotion to have a major run with Sable even though WCW and NJPW each make their attempts at bringing her in. Sable made the company realize that a woman could draw as she was only behind the likes of Steve Austin, The Rock, and D-Generation X.

8 Managing Triple H

The pairing of Triple H and Sable only lasted one night, but it played a massive role in Sable’s WWE career taking off. Sable was blamed by Triple H for his loss to the Ultimate Warrior at WrestleMania 12 in under two minutes.

The look of Sable instantly made her stand out and WWE utilized that in a backstage segment afterward. Triple H running down Sable verbally led to Marc Mero making the save and having her move forward as his manager.

7 Managing Brock Lesnar in NJPW

Another short-term role for Sable in wrestling surprisingly saw her appearing for New Japan on a few occasions. Brock Lesnar leaving WWE would see Sable follow him as the new couple both wanted out to start the next chapter of their lives.

The failed NFL tryout for Brock led to him taking NJPW’s offer to appear in the top Japanese promotion since he didn’t want to work for WWE. Sable barely did much and mostly just walked Lesnar to the ring and provided name value at his side.

6 Torrie Wilson's Partner

Sable coming back to WWE in the 2000s featured a short run that involved Torrie Wilson in different instances. The opportunity to pose in Playboy Magazine saw both ladies getting their second shoots with the legendary brand together this time.

Torrie and Sable teamed up for a short time with both playing faces to hype up the big release of the magazine. WrestleMania 20 featured the Playboy friends defeating Stacy Keibler and Miss Jackie in an Evening Gown match. Sable was still over enough to get cheers from the crowd after her heel run.

5 Return as Torrie Wilson's Enemy

The better version of Sable to interact with Torrie Wilson placed them at odds against each other. Sable returned to WWE interrupting Torrie and making it clear that she wanted to be the top diva on the Smackdown brand,

Wilson and Sable went back and forth with promo battles and bikini contests. Sable ramped up her heel work to match the face momentum for Torrie. Neither woman was a good in-ring performer, but they were able to tell a compelling story from the character side.

4 Managing Marc Mero

Sable’s breakout moment at WrestleMania 12 allowed her to have a story for fans when she started managing her real-life husband Marc Mero. WWE wanted to have Sable established before aligning with Mero for his matches. Vince McMahon signed Mero to a big contract and hoped Sable would help further add to the expectations.

The pair worked enough for Sable to get them both huge pops every week. Sable’s popularity continued to grow and eventually surpassed Mero in a major way. WWE had to split them up due to Sable’s success needing to thrive on its own.

3 Face Dumping Marc Mero

The official split of Sable and Marc Mero played out in a storyline where Mero was portraying the jealous and possessive boyfriend. Fans already loved Sable and were apathetic towards Mero which made it easier to root against him in this angle.

WWE went all in with their push of Sable as she actually hit the powerbomb on him at a time when women rarely physically got the better of male wrestlers. Sable continued to rise in the pecking order and was one of WWE’s biggest overall stars by the time she finished feuding with Mero and his new love interest Jacqueline.

2 Vince McMahon's Love Interest

The return of Sable to WWE in 2003 shocked fans since she sued the company for harassment when she left in 1999. Vince McMahon went the wild route of putting himself in a romantic storyline with Sable as a huge part of the Smackdown brand.

Sable sabotaged General Manager and newly turned face Stephanie McMahon by souring her dad against her. Vince and Sable were two of the most hated characters in WWE at the time. Sable and Stephanie had entertaining segments that put the former in a good position coming back to her old home of professional wrestling.

1 Playboy Heel Turn

The biggest success of Sable’s career came shortly after she posed for Playboy Magazine. WWE’s first cover girl received mainstream media attention and continued to become an even bigger draw. The shocking move after the magazine release saw Sable turning heel.

Many pundits feared that the lack of a face character would lead to her drawing power diminishing, but it was the opposite. Sable received louder cheers from her fans and provided a huge draw for the women’s division. WWE booked Sable as the Women’s Champion for this entire run easily defeating her peers while playing to the crowd.
