Some of the best parts of WWE matches happen at live events when the television cameras aren't rolling. So too, WWE Superstars have a tendency to use commercial breaks or dark matches (the action that takes place after the show ends) to try new things and play with the live audience.
One such instance happened at the recent Tuesday night edition of SmackDown Live when AJ Styles and Sami Zayn had an exchange that would have been great for TV but was caught only by a fan near ringside.
The match pitted AJ Styles, Shinsuke Nakamura, and Booby Roode against Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens, and Jinder Mahal. During the action, Zayn was fed up with and trying to pull a fast one of Styles by throwing a water bottle at him. Styles, being one of the quickest and most agile of WWE Superstars, caught the water bottle and immediately threw it back at Zayn knocking him over. You can see the video as caught by the fan below.
It was a hysterical moment for the fans watching from the crowd and just another example of how "Phenomenal" AJ Styles can be. He and Zayn have excellent chemistry and it showed in a spot that gave everyone a good moment of entertainment.
Not to be outshined, the water bottle became a focal point of the contest as Bobby Roode eventually poured the bottle over Zayn when the match was completed. Zayn, of course, lost his mind, flopped around and hustled out of the ring to get away from the water.
Incidences like these are just another reason that fans should consider attending live WWE events. Triple H has been known to pull some of his funniest stunts when the cameras aren't rolling and there is a history of wrestlers trying out ideas for the live crowd to see how fans respond.
