Update On When Samoa Joe Could Return From Injury

Judging by the talent that WWE advertises for house shows, the company is expecting Samoa Joe to be back in the near future.

Samoa Joe has been pretty unlucky when it comes to injuries since arriving on Raw a year ago. Right now The Samoan Submission Machine is working his way through a foot injury that he suffered during a match with Rhyno a few weeks ago. It's frustrating for Joe and his fans as when he is fully fit higher ups at WWE undoubtedly see him as a top guy.

What's even more frustrating for Joe with this latest injury is that right before it happened it appeared as if the seeds were being sewn for a rivalry with John Cena. In fact rumor has it that the two of them were going to work a WrestleMania program together. Now though the plan seems to be a for Cena to take on Elias as we head closer to April 8th in New Orleans.

There is good news though. According to the Rumor Roundup at Cageside Seats Joe will be back wrestling for WWE before WrestleMania has come and gone. Judging by adverts for the promotion's live events, The Destroyer will be back by around mid-March. Yes that's before WrestleMania but probably too late a return for him to be involved in anything very meaningful at The Show of Shows.

It will be a real shame for Joe if he doesn't make it back in time for WrestleMania. If that does happen it will mark the second year in a row that he has been on the main roster but not had a place on the Mania card. Last year the former NXT Champion was effectively Triple H's lackey and just did The Game's dirty work in the build to his match with Seth Rollins.

If the rumors are true and Joe does return to action in mid-March then there are definitely options for WWE. A spot in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal could be a good choice with Joe winning the whole thing. He could even be kept off television so that his appearance in the match is a surprise. Fingers crossed that he will recover fast and warrant a place on The Grandest Stage Of Them All.
