WWE superstar Samoa Joe has been held of action for the past two months because of a knee injury. He last appeared at SummerSlam in a fatal-four way match against Brock Lesnar, Roman Reigns, and Braun Strowman, with the beast retaining his Universal Championship.
But yesterday, Samoa Joe hinted that he was soon ready to return after posting this tweet.
In the video, the words "you come at the king, you best not miss," are used.
As it turns out, Joe was, in fact, hinting at a return the whole time. PWInsider.com , reports that Joe is in Baltimore, where tonight's episode of Raw will take place. He's expected to return tonight, which is convenient timing with Survivor Series just three weeks away.
With the traditional five-on-five tag team match taking place, Samoa Joe seems like a terrific option for Team Raw. He's one of the most dominant stars on the roster, and the match gives him a golden opportunity to re-enter the main event picture.
His injury came at a bad time, as Samoa Joe developed plenty of momentum heading into SummerSlam. He defeated the likes of Roman Reigns, Finn Balor, and Bray Wyatt and put on a strong match against Brock Lesnar at Great Balls of Fire, in a losing effort.
With Big Cass recovering from a torn ACL and stars Roman Reigns and Bray Wyatt down with the mumps, WWE has been hit hard by injuries to some of their top stars. If Joe is indeed ready to return tonight, this would be a huge sigh of relief for the company.
With the Raw roster due for comeuppance over the SmackDown roster, perhaps Joe could come back soon and lend the red team a helping hand. Stay tuned.
