Sasha Banks has been a main face of the women's division since joining the main WWE roster three years ago, and she got awarded for it once again.

According to a report from Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, Banks and WWE agreed to terms an extended contract. The source told Fightful that the new contract "was reached upon her return."

Terms of the contract weren't revealed. As Sapp pointed out, Banks reportedly signed a new contract with WWE last year. We may not know the length of the deal, but the main story is that Banks is here to stay for the long run.

WWE has made it a priority to re-sign as many of their superstars as possible. Mike and Maria Kanellis, Jinder Mahal, Braun Strowman, AJ Styles, Mojo Rawley and Roman Reigns are among the superstars who reportedly signed new contracts with the company this year.

Banks went on a four-month hiatus from WWE following WrestleMania 35, and she recently revealed that she was struggling to coup with a lot of things - and she questioned herself as a wrestler. But ever since her return in mid-August, Banks has returned to main event status - this time as a top-tier heel.

When The Legit Boss returned, she switched to heel after attacking Natalya. Banks then began to clash with Becky Lynch, the Raw Women's Champion. Though Banks was unsuccessful in defeating her at Clash of Champions, she's getting a rematch at next week's Hell in a Cell pay-per-view.

Banks Is a Critical Part Of WWE's Future

Keeping Banks around long-term is a huge win for WWE, because she's been a vital part of their roster for several years now. Banks has succeeded as both a main event babyface and a top-notch heel. There was just no way Vince McMahon and company can afford to lose Banks - especially at a time when the women's wrestling division is making more and more history.
