The legendary career of Scott Hall saw him become one of the most popular wrestling stars of the '90s. Hall broke out during his run as Razor Ramon for WWE in the early '90s. 10 Razor Ramon and Ric Flair vs Randy Savage and Mr. Perfect (Survivor Series 1992)
One of the first major opportunities for Razor Ramon to work with bigger names came at Survivor Series 1992. Razor teamed with top heel Ric Flair to oppose the popular faces Randy Savage and Mr. Perfect. The match was quite entertaining with all four men still in their prime.
Despite not main eventing, this match held the most star power on the show. Flair and Ramon were disqualified when the match got out of control. The test helped Razor prove he was ready for more opportunities in WWE moving forward.
9 Razor Ramon vs 123 Kid (Raw: May 17, 1993)
The star-making match for the 123 Kid saw Scott Hall deliver one of his best performances as Razor Ramon. Everyone expected Razor to easily score the win as every other instance of a star facing an enhancement talent ended in victory.
Ramon controlled the pace of the match until the 123 Kid started making a comeback to the excitement of the audience. Fans would be shocked when 123 Kid scored the winning pin fall for arguably the biggest upset in wrestling history. It would not have worked as well if Hall didn’t do as well in the losing role.
8 Razor Ramon vs Bret Hart (King of the Ring 1993)
The first match of the 1993 King of the Ring event featured Bret Hart and Razor Ramon both looking to advance. Hart had one of the best performances of his career on this night having three great matches against three opponents of different styles.
Razor had a great night as well playing the heel role to perfection. Both men delivered in the ring with the tone of the show getting set well. Hart pulled off the victory to advance to the next round. Ramon showed he was going to be a major player in the company.
7 Razor Ramon vs Diesel (Summerslam 1994)
An underrated match in the career of Scott Hall came against his close friend Kevin Nash at Summerslam 1994. Both men were playing their WWE characters of Razor Ramon and Diesel at the time. They had the third biggest match of the night with celebrity involved helping.
NFL star Walter Payton was in the corner of Razor hoping to out match Diesel having Shawn Michaels at his side. Ramon scored the win to retain his Intercontinental Championship. The two friends have great chemistry in the ring that would be channeled into a tag team years later.
6 Razor Ramon vs Owen Hart (King of the Ring 1994)
The second King of the Ring tournament match for Razor Ramon against a Hart was another success story. Owen Hart was the one taking over the tournament in 1994 to get higher up the card. Both men faced off in the finals with the crown on the line.
Owen won the match and became the King of the Ring to move into the main event picture. It was a great sign for Razor to make the finals showing he was one of the most popular faces in the company. Despite the prior success as a heel, Ramon was more over as a face in his WWE run.
5 Scott Hall vs Sting (Uncensored 1998)
The best Scott Hall match from WCW saw him getting a rare world title shot. Hall won the World War 3 battle royal event to earn a future WCW Championship match. Sting winning the title would see Hall finally step up to get his title shot.
Both men had a great match together at the Uncensored 1998 event. Sting retained the title, but Hall made the match a bit more unpredictable than expected. 4 Razor Ramon vs Jeff Jarrett (Royal Rumble 1995)
Razor Ramon and Jeff Jarrett had one of the most underrated WWE rivalries of 1995. The feud for the Intercontinental Championship would see the two have great chemistry. Their best match came as the opener of the Royal Rumble 1995 event.
Jarrett used some heel tactics to get the advantage and steal the IC Title. Ramon clearly was the more popular worker and the fans invested strongly into the match This was one of the top matches for the title that Ramon helped make relevant in the 90s.
3 Razor Ramon vs Shawn Michaels (Summerslam 1995)
The second of two ladder matches between Razor Ramon and Shawn Michaels would come at Summerslam 1995. Both men tried to recapture the magic of their prior match with the Intercontinental Championship on the line again.
The moves were once again awe-inspiring leaving the audience in disbelief. Michaels even had more tricks in his arsenal since he was playing the face role this time around. The win for Michaels helped cement him as a rising star about to officially enter the main event picture.
2 Razor Ramon vs Bret Hart (Royal Rumble 1993)
Scott Hall received a massive opportunity at the Royal Rumble 1993 event challenging Bret Hart for the WWE Championship. The heel work of Razor Ramon was getting over and WWE needed a new challenger for Hart at the show before WrestleMania.
Bret’s technical skills were on display here with Ramon also bringing it at a high level. The match was Razor’s first taste of the title picture and he provided a strong effort. Hart would win via submission to continue his title reign, but it was still a top tier match in Hall’s career.

The match that fans will always first remember in the career of Scott Hall was his WrestleMania 10 classic. Shawn Michaels faced off against Razor Ramon for the Intercontinental Championship in WWE’s first-ever ladder match.
They completely stole the show delivering moves with the ladder fans had never witnessed before. The overall drama of the match added to the appeal. Many believed it was the greatest match in WWE history at the time. Razor grabbing the title to win the classic was the peak of Hall’s wrestling career.
