Sean "X-Pac" Waltman has revealed that he might not renew his Legends Deal with the WWE.
The 46-year-old, currently a free agent, spoke to Wrestling Inc's Nick Hausman on the WINCLY podcast this week and discussed a range of topics, including the upcoming Royal Rumble and his status with the WWE.
Waltman wasn't keen on going into details but revealed that he is yet to renew his WWE Legends deal and is unsure he will even do so.
"I just have to renew my Legends deal," he said. "And I'm not sure if I'm going to. People have reached out to me. I'm not going to go into any further details, if that's what [Hausman] is asking about. That's where I'm going to leave it. I'm just going to wait and see. I'm in a pretty good position."
Asked if he's able to fight at the moment, the former nWo and D-Generation X member indicated that he's actually getting back in shape and can get in the ring.
"Yes, I can wrestle and actually things are starting to get interesting," he replied. "I'm starting to get back in shape again."
As for the Royal Rumble, Waltman has backed Universal Champion Brock Lesnar and challenger Finn Balor to put on a good show. And, although he reckons Brock will come out on top, he seems to think Balor actually has a shot at walking away with the belt.
"There is always that chance [for a swerve] and anybody that says otherwise, I disagree with them," the former superstar declared. "Obviously, Brock will probably win, but that doesn't mean it's going be lamb to the slaughter. I mean, look at the Daniel Bryan match. And I just think it's going to be a really good match. And there always is the chance. We don't know what the hell they have planned."
What This Means
That Waltman isn't sure he'll re-sign with the WWE could point to a deal elsewhere. He did say "things are starting to get interesting", plus he's getting back in shape, so there could be a development announced where he's concerned soon enough.
There's a lot happening outside of the WWE nowadays and new promotions are looking to sign the biggest names they can. Waltman would be quite the draw.
