Charlotte Flair is the new SmackDown Women's Champion and will now face her Raw counterpart Alexa Bliss at Survivor Series.

SmackDown Live featured two title matches this week, and with all the brand's champions taking on their Raw counterparts on Sunday they both naturally had potential Survivor Series implications. First up Baron Corbin managed to successfully defend his United States Championship meaning that his bout against The Miz this weekend remains the same.

The next match was between Charlotte and Natalya for The Queen of Hart's SmackDown Women's Championship. This is the one where fans expected a change and the winner would not only be the brand's champion but would also go on to face Alexa Bliss at Survivor Series. Whenever Charlotte and Nattie step into the ring together they put on a show, and their match on SmackDown Live this week was no different.

Both women are such terrific wrestlers that you almost want to figure out a way that both of them can be the champion. That's not possible though, and after a great match, the expected change came. Charlotte Flair is the new Women's Champion on Tuesday nights and all of a sudden Alexa Bliss has an extremely tough match on her hands at Survivor Series. If Flair can lock in that Figure 8 then Bliss may very well be tapping just like Nattie did.

After the match, Charlotte cut a promo warning Raw's resident goddess about what she's got coming to her and also spoke about her father and how he will be watching on at home. Then as she made her way back to the locker room, The Nature Boy's music hit. Ric was in the building and he came out to celebrate with his daughter in what was an extremely touching moment.

Despite Natalya being a very talented wrestler and putting on a great match with Charlotte, there's just something about Bliss versus Flair that feels like a bigger match more worthy of this weekend's Survivor Series card. Charlotte and Alexa are arguably the two biggest women on their respective brands, and having them face off is probably the biggest inter-brand women's match you could have in WWE right now, Asuka not included of course.
