Seth Rollins has fired back at Jim Ross in a hilarious tweet meant to poke fun at Ross' comments that Becky Lynch is a more popular wrestler.

Just a few days ago, Good Ol' JR got in on the action when it came to the war of words between WWE and AEW. He took issue with Seth Rollins' comments that Kenny Omega was welcome to stop playing in the "minor leagues" and could come wrestle Rollins at a WrestleMania whenever he wants to play with the big boys. This was Rollins' response to a question during a Fandemic Q&A session about wanting to one day wrestle Omega.

Ross responded, standing up for his new employer, on the latest edition of his Grilling JR podcast with Conrad Thompson and said it wasn't a good look for Rollins to call AEW the minor leagues. Calling it a classless thing to say, Ross added:

“Rollins is in a great spot, he’s blessed, maybe someday he’ll be as over as his girlfriend, I don’t know, but nonetheless, I’ve always liked his work. He’s a solid guy, but saying things like that make him look bad and for that I feel bad for him. I just do.

Of course, since then, Chris Jericho has come out and said NXT is the minor leagues and accused Vince McMahon of hiding Raw and SmackDown from facing real competition and others have engaged in battles with fans over AEW storylines and WWE booking decisions. Rollins is hardly the only one with an opinion and to be honest, Rollins' comments were quite tame in comparison.

Still, Rollins took to Twitter on Saturday and in a hilarious tweet, subtly responded to Ross' opinion of where the Universal Champion was sitting in terms of "over" Superstars in WWE. As the popular Gorilla Position account tweeted promotion material for an appearance with Rollins and Lynch on December 11th, Rollins wrote, "Come hang out with me and my super over fiancée!"

Rollins Is Getting Better At This Twitter Thing

Ross' accusation is that Rollins is having trouble handling the pressure of being the face of WWE and that, in response, he often makes comments he regrets. But, this latest tweet just confirms he's getting the hang of the social media platform.

Of course Lynch is popular, Rollins knows that. But he also knows that if someone takes a jab at you, you might as well jab back. His super over fiance is about the best in the business at it.
