WWE announced on Tuesday that Jason Jordan underwent neck surgery and will be out indefinitely. Jordan was a replacement for Dean Ambrose as Seth Rollins' tag team partner, but The Architect will now look for his third comrade in just over a month.
According to Andrew Ravens of eWrestlingNews.com, WWE has advertised Finn Balor as Rollins' tag team partner against Cesaro and Sheamus for some of its upcoming shows. That likely means Roman Reigns will continue to wrestle in singles competition.
The Balor Club (which also features Gallows and Anderson), had begun a brief feud with Jordan and Rollins in December, but the latter pair have since rekindled their lengthy rivalry with The Bar.
Injuries have really piled up on the WWE over the past year, and it's strongly affected Rollins' character more than anyone else. He tore his ACL during a house show in late 2015, and had to relinquish his WWE World Heavyweight Championship. He got injured during a match against Samoa Joe last year, and was a game-time decision for WrestleMania 33 - though he was able to compete.

Now, Rollins has to deal with losing Jordan, who replaced Ambrose as his tag team partner. You truly feel sorry for The Architect, who was being pushed as the next face of WWE three years ago.
It's unlikely that Rollins and Balor would team up for that long, given Jordan's injury isn't expected to keep him out long-term and that Balor recently formed his own alliance with Gallows and Anderson.
But if Rollins and Balor manage to perform well as a tag team in these live shows, then perhaps he'll be the unexpected third member of The Shield. You never know.
