Shawn Michaels is certainly one of the greatest wrestlers of all time and someone who achieved everything within his career. He's a two time Hall Of Famer and ranks on many peoples' Mt. Rushmore of wrestling, mainly because he's such a fantastic in-ring performer. He got to have epic feuds with many of the greats from The Undertaker and Triple H to Bret Hart and John Cena.
However, while all those matches are very iconic, there are plenty of Shawn Michaels matches that fans have forgotten all about, with some wrestlers that many would never expect him to have wrestled against, as this list will highlight.
10 King Mabel
Mabel was always quite a dominant wrestler during his peak, especially after winning the King of the Ring tournament, which allowed him the chance to really mix it up with some top tier talents.
One of those names was Shawn Michaels. The two men competed in a tag team match on WWE Action Zone as HBK teamed up with Kevin Nash to defeat Men On A Mission, in their only televised match.
9 Jim Cornette
He might not be a professional wrestler himself, but Jim Cornette has stepped in between the ropes throughout his career, and one of those occasions saw him actually wrestle against Shawn Michaels.
This is certainly something that fans forgot about as Camp Cornette took on HBK and Jose Lothario in a truly random tag team bout. To make things even more surprising, it was actually Cornette and Vader who won this match.
8 Vladimir Kozlov
Vladimir Kozlov was someone who gained quite the push upon his arrival in WWE, getting the chance to work with a lot of top tier talents. Kozlov's feuds with the likes of Triple H, Jeff Hardy, and The Undertaker are well-documented, but facing HBK certainly is not.
They only competed in singles action once during their careers on an episode of Monday Night Raw in 2009, and to no surprise, it was Shawn Michaels who earned the victory that night.
7 Rey Mysterio
Rey Mysterio, much like Shawn Michaels is one of the greatest wrestlers of all time, and because of that, most people would presume they've feuded countless times. Sadly, that isn't actually the case, despite the fact that a full feud between them would have been amazing.
They had two singles matches against each other throughout their entire careers, with one coming on HBK's final ever SmackDown appearance, and the other taking place at Eddie Guerrero's tribute show.
6 Curt Hawkins
Curt Hawkins and Shawn Michaels have shared the ring once during their careers, with that moment coming during Hawkins' time as an Edgehead. Shawn Michaels teamed up with Ric Flair to face La Familia.
This was a four on two handicap match that was actually done inside a steel cage, adding even more intrigue to the contest. However, it is one that has been forgotten about as HBK didn't have a huge feud with them.
5 Ted DiBiase
Everybody has got a price, and that includes Shawn Michaels it would appear. That's because he got the chance to work against the Million Dollar Man prior to them both being top WWE Superstars.
While they did interact within Royal Rumbles and other big battle royals, their big singles match together came at Mid-South Wrestling all the way back in 1984.
4 Irwin R. Schyster
Another wrestler a lot of people don't know Shawn Michaels faced is Irwin R. Schyster. When people think of I.R.S they often just think of his gimmick, but he was also a very solid in-ring worker as well.
He was really strong in the ring, and he did get the chance to mix it up with Shawn Michaels in the ring. They competed a few times at house shows, but they also had a single one on one match on Monday Night Raw in 1995.
3 Kamala
Kamala was a terrific wrestler and someone who really thrived in the character aspect of the wrestling business. He got the chance to work against Shawn Michaels a couple of times in his career, but only once did they have a singles match on Raw.
However, it wasn't just an average match, as the two men competed for the Intercontinental Championship, with HBK retaining his title in the match.
2 Jonathan Coachman
Shawn Michaels has competed against plenty of non-wrestlers over the course of his career, which is likely down to the fact he can make anybody look good. That includes Jonathan Coachman, who he once faced on Monday Night Raw.
The match only lasted a few minutes and ended in DQ, which is likely why so many people have forgotten that this one ever happened. Coachman was someone who could take a bump though, which meant his matches weren't too poor.
1 Snitsky
Snitsky was someone who got a brief push as a monster in WWE, which is something that the company often does with big guys. He got to chance to work with plenty of top talents such as Kane, and he even got to wrestle Shawn Michaels.
He was never quite built up to the height of being a genuine threat to HBK, and it was actually a tag team match as D-Generation X faced Snitsky and Umaga.
