Shawn Michaels understands why The Young Bucks might not want to come to WWE, but feels like they have to if they want that bigger stage.

Despite WWE managing to land Superstars such as Shinsuke Nakamura and AJ Styles, there are still a select few big names that continue to slip through their fingers. Kenny Omega is one man that WWE can't seem to pin down and his good friends The Young Bucks are two others. In fact, Matt and Nick Jackson seem to actively be avoiding ever becoming WWE Superstars.

Despite their dislike of WWE, someone who clearly had an influence on The Bucks' careers is Shawn Michaels. On a recent episode of X-Pac 12360, HBK discussed Matt and Nick and how much he admires them. Michaels also went on to say that although he understands why they don't want to come to WWE right now, he really hopes that they change their minds in the future.

"There are people that think they are making a phenomenal living away from the WWE and I have no doubt that they are," the Hall of Famer explained, "but I still hope there comes a day where all these guys will come to the WWE and have the opportunity to do it on a bigger stage." What The Bucks are doing in New Japan and Ring Of Honor right now is great, but despite both companies growing, WWE is still the be all and end all in pro wrestling right now.

What Could Have Been

The Bucks had brushes with WWE in the past. Ten years ago, the brothers performed as enhancement talent for the company and a few years after that, they even had an unsuccessful try out for WWE. Whether those experiences with the promotion were bad ones that have tainted their view of WWE or not is unclear but as of right now they seem to be doing their level best to never be hired by Vince McMahon.

As of right now, The Young Bucks—and pretty much everyone else in the Bullet Club—seem adamant that they don't need or even want to be WWE Superstars. The same was probably said about the likes of Finn Balor, Karl Anderson, and Luke Gallows too once upon a time however and now the three of them are together again doing their thing on Raw each and every Monday night.
