NXT is the place where new debuts seem to hit home the most for WWE fans. The NXT brand is the breeding ground for trying new characters and testing new talents. Some may be completely unheard-of talents and others more famous (like Ronda Rousey) who is training at the NXT Performance Center now. But, most incoming talents get their start in NXT until they graduate to the main roster.
With that said, it's not surprising to see new videos pop up promoting the arrival of another hopeful. Such is that case with a video of whom many fans believe is one of Rousey's good friends, Shayna Baszler. A video that aired during this week's episode of NXT hyped the arrival of who most believe is the Queen of Spades, a name Baszler is known for.
The teaser featured the silhouette of a wrestler and the word "soon," with spades replacing the middle letters of the word. The silhouette doesn't really clarify if the talent is male or female but that may not matter as Baszler is known to have a more masculine build for a female WWE Superstar.
It's the nickname "The Queen of Spades" that seemed to hint that she was the person who would be debuting. Dave Meltzer also confirmed that the video was for her on his Wrestling Observer Radio show.
Already public knowledge that Baszler had signed a contract with the WWE, she is well known as a close friend of Rousey and Baszler was pushed by the WWE during the Mae Young Classic, going as far as the finals where she lost to Kairi Sane. She has the potential to be a fairly big star in NXT if her training is coming along.
NXT is not crammed with top female talent, especially since the outpouring of talent that left NXT to jump to the main roster over the past couple weeks.
