Wrestling is a business that forces you to go on the road to get from town to town, and we’ve heard many crazy stories about what these wrestlers get up to. But Shelton Benjamin recently had a little problem that no one likely would have expected during their travel. It’s unclear where this happened, but the Gold Standard just tweeted that he had looked in the glove compartment of the rental he’d been driving around in for four days… and to his shock, he found a loaded gun!

He wasn’t very happy about it, and in the tweet claimed that the company had put his reputation, freedom and quite possibly his life on the line. Thankfully he found it before he could get into any trouble, but this is absolutely the last thing you’d expect as a WWE superstar when you’re on the road. Benjamin made it clear that it wasn’t something he requested, or something he even knew about. Randy Orton saw Benjamin’s tweet, and replied with basically all of our reactions that is NSFW.

As we’ve said, this is a situation that could have been much, much worse, and it looks like nothing else will come of the situation. But one thing is for sure, Benjamin, and likely most professional wrestlers (or anyone who rents a car on the regular for that matter) in the world will be checking their glove compartments for the near future.

So there you have it guys, Shelton Benjamin almost runs into some major trouble, and drives around for days with a loaded gun in his rental car for days. So what do you think? Is this a problem that the rental company should be held liable for? Is Shelton one of the luckiest guys around for finding it before police did? Let us know all your thoughts in the comments below.
