Roman Reigns and Baron Corbin will have to set aside their differences when they team up in two weeks at Survivor Series.
With less than two weeks left to go until Survivor Series, the traditional five-person teams are starting to take shape. Sasha Banks was named as SmackDown's women's team captain last week, with Dana Brooke and Carmella also winning their way into the team. This past Monday on Raw, all five men on Team Red were announced, including the reveal that Seth Rollins would captain the quintet.
In the past, that would have probably led to SmackDown doing the exact same thing 24 hours later. However, since fans now have to wait a full four days to see SmackDown after watching Raw, WWE decided to announce the men who will represent Team Blue early. Renee Young made the revelation during Tuesday night's WWE Backstage.
Team Blue will be captained by Roman Reigns. An interesting dynamic since he will be opposite one of his best friends, Rollins. Another interesting dynamic will be the one between Reigns and Baron Corbin. The King will also be a part of Team SmackDown. Those two will be joined by Ali, Shorty G, and the biggest of wildcards, Braun Strowman.
On paper, we would say Raw has the better men's team. Not just because of Rollins, but due to Superstars such as Drew McIntyre and Kevin Owens living within its ranks. Team Red has its fair share of combustibility, though. Randy Orton and Ricochet don't exactly see eye-to-eye. Chances are we see a lot of dissension in this match between those two and Reigns and Corbin.
As for the women's side of things, Raw currently has a lot of work to do. Team Red hasn't even named a female captain, let alone all five of its members. Meanwhile, The Boss still has two slots left to fill. Chances are we could see Liv Morgan return and occupy one of those vacant spots. That's certainly what Bayley hinted at on Twitter over the weekend. The champ will have her hands full with Becky Lynch and Shayna Baszler at Survivor Series though, so won't be able to help out.
