Professional Wrestling has witnessed the emergence of some notable stables throughout the years. From the New World Order, a group that nearly took over World Championship Wrestling during the company's existence, to The Bullet Club, a faction that has gained an enormous following from many modern-day wrestling fans, stables have generally been measured by their success in certain areas.

While ratings, pay-per-view buys, attendance, and merchandise sales are usually good indicators regarding a stables influence, there is one other measurement that usually isn't taken into consideration as much of those other factors. While monetary accomplishments shouldn't be dismissed, a stables ability to compile championships during its existence is something that shouldn't be ignored, either.

10 The New Blood

The New Blood

As World Championship Wrestling struggled to survive on life support during the final years of its existence, the New Blood was a stable comprised of young, up-and-coming superstars looking to make their marks in the professional wrestling business.

Mostly feuding with older, more established superstars who also assembled a group known as The Millionaire's Club, The New Blood went on to produce over 15 champions, including David Arquette, who won the WCW World Heavyweight Title on an episode of WCW Thunder in 2000.

9 D-Generation X

D-Generation X

D-Generation X will go down as one of the most popular stables in the history of professional wrestling. During the late 90s, Shawn Michaels, Triple H, Chyna, and "Ravishing" Rick Rude ran wild throughout the World Wrestling Federation.

Known for their edgy comments and over the top hijinks, D-X was one of the reasons why fans opted to start watching WWF programming again after the company was annihilated from a ratings standpoint during the infamous Monday Night War. Though the group evolved after Michaels was forced to retire due to a back injury, D-X still made a mark by manufacturing over 25 title reigns from its members during its existence.

8 The Alliance

After World Championship Wrestling folded and was kayfabe "purchased" in 2001 by Shane McMahon, the son of Vince McMahon, The Alliance ran wild over WWF programming. Comprised of former WCW, and eventually Stephanie McMahon and ECW superstars, the faction produced nearly 30 champions during its time in the World Wrestling Federation.

While The Alliance was considered a flop by many, especially from a storyline perspective, the overall success of the stable based of championship hardware alone is enough to keep them labeled as one of the most successful groups in professional wrestling history.

7 The Fabulous Freebirds

The Fabulous Freebirds were a group that mostly consisted of Michael "P.S." Hayes, Terry Gordy, Buddy Roberts, and Jimmy "Jam" Garvin. While their legacy will be also associated with the "Freebird Rule," where teams like The New Day are able to defend the tag team titles using a combination of any of the members within the group, they also gained notoriety based on their championship accolades.

The Freebirds path of success included nearly 30 championship reigns in stops across several promotions like World Class Championship Wrestling, World Championship Wrestling, Mid-South Wrestling, and Georgia Championship Wrestling--among others.

6 Suzuki-Gun

Minoru Suzuki

Suzuki-gun originated in 2011 and has also gone through many different versions. Made up of a collective group of wrestlers lead by Minoru Suzuki, the stable accumulated over 30 championships in New Japan Pro Wrestling, Pro Wrestling Noah, and the National Wrestling Alliance.

Several notable North American wrestlers who have been in the group include Davey Boy Smith Jr, Shelton Benjamin, and MVP, who was a member of Kojima-gun, the group that was assembled before the Suzuki version.

5 The Heenan Family

When you think of the greatest manager of all time, Bobby "The Brain" Heenan comes to mind for most. He gained a lot of fame during his tenure as a "broadcast journalist" and doing commentary with the great Gorilla Monsoon.

However, "The Weasel" has also successfully guided the careers of many notable superstars such as "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair, Mr. Perfect, Andre The Giant, and "Ravishing" Rick Rude. While the Heenan Family was mostly remembered during its run in the World Wrestling Federation, the group had a presence, albeit in a different form, in the National Wrestling Alliance and American Wrestling Association.

4 The Four Horseman

Arguably the greatest faction ever, the Four Horsemen group was the epitome of cool. They had it all, women, money, limousines, and most importantly, championships. There wasn't a guy on the planet who didn't want to hang with the Horseman, and for those who said they didn't, they were lying. The most well-known incarnation of the stable, led by Ric Flair, also featured Tully Blanchard, Arn Anderson, Ole Anderson, and the managerial services of J.J. Dillion.

While the group would had other members as the years went by, they still held over 30 championship reigns, with "The Nature Boy" holding the World Heavyweight Title nearly 10 times while the leader.

3 New World Order

The New World Order made a significant impact on the industry. After Hulk Hogan turned his back on wrestling fans around the world to join up with Kevin Nash and Scott Hall at Bash of the Beach 1996. the wrestling world was never the same.

World Championship Wrestling was the target of a "hostile takeover," and the nWo caused a ruckus within the promotion, often using a numbers advantage to tip the scales in their favor. A large number of wrestlers joined the stable, which spanned also spanned to Japan. In total, the group held north of 40 championships combined during its tenure.

He also had reigns as the IWGP Intercontinental Champion while other members won multiple championships in not only New Japan but in Ring of Honor and Pro Wrestling Noah.

1 Bullet Club

Original Bullet Club lineup

From a championship standpoint, there hasn't been a group that has been more successful than the Bullet Club. The stable is arguably the most popular faction since the New World Order and has thrived with over 70 title reigns collectively over the years.

With notable members like Cody, A.J. Styles, Doc Gallows, Karl Anderson, and Adam Cole, the stable has held championships in promotions like New Japan Pro Wrestling, Global Force Wrestling, CMLL, Ring of Honor, and the National Wrestling Alliance.
