'Badass' Billy Gunn was a guest on WWE Hall Of Famer Steve Austin's podcast,  The Steve Austin Show, and both guys talked about their battles with drugs during the course of their careers.

Austin said that he dabbled in recreational drugs during his career because it was rampant in the sport. He said there was a point in which he could tell what kind of drugs guys were carrying around just by the sound they made.

"Dude, back in the day if a guy had a backpack or a fanny pack, he could take his s--t off and by the rattle, back me on this, by the rattle of what he had in his bag, you could tell what he was carrying." Steve said. "Oh yeah, Ambiens had a rattle, somas, Vics, Percs, they all had a different rattle!"

Austin did say that he never got caught up and addicted to the way others have, since his vice was alcohol more than anything else.

"I never got spun off on them. I was lucky in that regard. Alcohol was my thing. That's what I had a good time with." Steve added, "all-of-a-sudden, you're in the [pro] wrestling business and you're getting s--t thrown at you!

With all of the pain that Austin suffered during his career, whether it was the neck or the back injuries, I can't say that I'm surprised that he used drugs at one time. Alcohol can only numb the pain so much.

Despite the fact that Austin had to end his career early due to the beating that he took during his time in the ring, he did recently tease that he could make an appearance at WrestleMania 34, which goes down in April.

Austin recently congratulated Ivory on her induction into the WWE Hall of Fame and hinted that he'll be talking with her soon.

It wouldn't be a surprise if Austin ends up appearing at WrestleMania. He just showed up for RAW 25 last month and took down both WWE Chairman Vince McMahon and his son Shane with his signature Stone Cold Stunner.

Austin officially retired 15 years ago after a final match against The Rock where he ended up losing after taking three Rock Bottoms.

Even with his career now over, Austin has remained a part of WWE and was a co-General Manager of RAW with Eric Bischoff while making numerous appearances.

Austin has appeared as a special guest referee at WrestleMania three times since his career has ended.  He officiated the Brock Lesnar match with Goldberg in 2004 and then refereed The Battle of the Billionaires between McMahon and current United States President Donald Trump.

Austin was also the ref for Jerry ‘The King’ Lawler’s encounter with Michael Cole in 2011.
