On April 15th and 16th, the 2019 WWE Superstar Shakeup will take place across two nights on that week's episodes of Monday Night Raw and Smackdown Live. The Shakeup (or WWE Draft as it used to be known) has become an annual tradition and fans always look forward to seeing which superstars will switch brands and which ones will be called up from NXT.

The Shakeup usually involves a surprising moment or two as well, which is always exhilarating to watch, and if done well it can leave fans salivating for a future filled with entirely new possibilities on both shows. Here are 10 roster changes we might see in the 2019 Superstar Shakeup.

10 BECKY LYNCH OFFICIALLY BECOMES A RAW SUPERSTAR

If WWE were really playing fair with their rosters, then Smackdown superstars Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair wouldn't be facing Ronda Rousey in a Triple Threat match for the Raw Women's Championship at Wrestlemania 35. But hey, this is pro-wrestling and anything can happen as long as it benefits the story, so it's all fair game.

However, we imagine that the Superstar Shakeup, one week after Mania, is the perfect time to make Lynch a permanent member of the Raw roster, especially considering she'll hopefully be winning the strap at the Show of Shows...

9 AJ STYLES IS DRAFTED TO RAW

It's looking like the 'Phenomenal One' AJ Styles will be facing Randy Orton at Wrestlemania, which should be a good match. It's not one of the top matches on the Smackdown side, though, which says to us that it's time for AJ to make his way over to Raw.

AJ has been 'the face that runs the place' on Smackdown since July 2016 and has accomplished all there is to do on the blue brand, including winning both the WWE Championship and the United States Championship twice. Some fresh challenges and matchups on Raw are just what the doctor ordered.

8 ALEXA BLISS GOES TO SMACKDOWN

On the March 11th episode of Monday Night Raw, Alexa Bliss announced during her talk show segment 'A Moment Of Bliss' that she will be the host of Wrestlemania 35. This role makes perfect sense, as Bliss has been one of WWE's best performers for the last several years but hasn't wrestled much since she returned from injury in November 2018.

She has made the absolute most of her non-wrestling role on Raw, but we think the Shakeup is a great time to put her back on Smackdown, where she enjoyed arguably her greatest success in 2016/17.

7 FINN BALOR JOINS SMACKDOWN FOR THE FIRST TIME

Finn Balor has spent his entire main roster WWE career on Monday Night Raw and his time on the red brand has been very inconsistent, to say the least. From the high of becoming Universal Champion in his first ever PPV match, he then suffered the ultimate low of having to vacate the title due to an injury sustained in that match.

He is the current Intercontinental Champion and also faced Brock Lesnar for the big strap at the Royal Rumble 2019, but it's undeniable that he hasn't quite fulfilled his potential due to a number of factors. A fresh start on Smackdown is needed, where he can hopefully be a part of the main event scene.

6 RECENT 'FREE AGENT' NXT CALL-UPS FIND PERMANENT HOMES

Recently, WWE called up a number of NXT talents to work as 'free agents' across both brands. It has seen the main roster audience being introduced to superstars like Richochet, Aleister Black, Johnny Gargano, Tommaso Ciampa, EC3, Lacey Evans and Heavy Machinery.

But, they have yet to feel like they've developed their own main roster identities due to their sporadic (and seemingly random) appearances on both Raw and Smackdown. The Superstar Shakeup should be used to place these talented performers permanently on either brand.

5 RONDA ROUSEY TO SMACKDOWN

Ronda Rousey's contract status with WWE has been subject to a lot of scuttlebutt lately. There are rumors that she will be leaving after Wrestlemania due to the company's punishing travel schedule and her desire to start a family with husband Travis Browne.

However, WWE has previously stated that she is under contract with them until April 10th, 2021. If Ronda does indeed stay, then we think she should be moved over to Smackdown to bring some star power to that brand and feud with the likes of Asuka and Charlotte Flair.

4 SHAYNA BASZLER TO RAW

In our scenario, with Ronda Rousey leaving Raw after Wrestlemania, that leaves a big spot open for a female powerhouse. Luckily, WWE have a readymade replacement in Shayna Baszler, the current NXT Women's Champion and only woman to hold that belt twice.

Shayna has a Mixed Martial Arts background like Rousey and competed in UFC between 2013 and 2015. She has adapted to pro-wrestling brilliantly and is intense, intimidating and ferocious in the ring. We'd love to see what kind of path of destruction she'd leave in the Raw women's division.

3 DREW MCINTYRE TO SMACKDOWN

For our money, there is no one on WWE's main roster more primed and ready to become a main event champion than Drew McIntyre. The 'Scottish Psychopath' has been dominant on Raw in the last year and has been used all over the card, from an enforcer role alongside Dolph Ziggler to an unstoppable fiend capable of humbling a legend like Kurt Angle.

He hasn't been given a run at the Universal Championship, however, and his Wrestlemania plans seem uncertain, so we'd love for to him to be sent to Smackdown to compete for the WWE Title against the likes of Daniel Bryan, Finn Balor, and Andrade Almas.

2 VELVETEEN DREAM MAKES HIS MAIN ROSTER DEBUT ON RAW

Velveteen Dream has already accomplished so much in his career at the tender age of 23, but we think it's high time he plied his trade on the main roster. A complication to this is the fact that he is the current NXT North American Champion, a strap he won when he defeated Johnny Gargano on the February 20th NXT episode.

Being a titleholder has never precluded superstars from making the jump to the main roster before, though, so we think it's not out of the realm of possibility to see Dream walk down the Raw ramp the night after Wrestlemania.

1 BUDDY MURPHY MOVES FROM 205 LIVE TO RAW

WWE Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy will face either Drew Gulak or Cedric Alexander for the title at Wrestlemania. The match will likely wind up on the pre-show, which isn't really fitting of any of the men's talents, but especially not Murphy, whose last year has been nothing short of transformative.

He went from an awful 2017, in which he only appeared in one televised NXT match, to a 2018/19 in which he changed brand (to 205 Live), changed his body and changed his fortunes in the company completely. We think he's outgrown 205 Live at this point and should make the jump to Raw permanently.
