The WWE has been a place where many wrestlers and other employers meet their significant others. Some of these marriages have lasted - namely Triple H and Stephanie McMahon, The Miz and Maryse, plus others.
But a number of wrestling power couples tied the knot, but the marriage didn't last. Sometimes, busy schedules, affairs, and other things arise in these marriages. As such, they don't last and come to an abrupt end.
And because some of them ended long ago, and/or the wrestlers remarried, you probably forgot or didn't know about some of them. Here are five wrestling marriages that you forgot actually once existed.
Steve Austin and Marshall first met in 1998, while both were at the heights of their respective wrestling careers. The couple tied the knot in 2002 and stayed close together while Austin missed time recovering from a neck injury.
But this marriage fell apart quickly. Austin was arrested for misdemeanor assault in June 2002, when police found Marshall bleeding and covered in bruises. The couple divorced in 2002, and Marshall worked towards helping victims of domestic abuse.
Austin remarried in 2009 to Kristin Austin, his fourth wife.
Sable and Marc Mero got married in 1994, and he actually helped get his wife into the wrestling business. She debuted in 1996 and started to be a valet for Mero in his matches. The two also worked in a storyline where Mero turned heel and became over-protective and jealous of his wife.
This marriage lasted seven years, and a divorce was finalized in 2004. Sable is now married to WWE superstar Brock Lesnar. They had two sons, while Sable also helped Lesnar raise his twin girls from a previous relationship. Mero married Darlene Spezzi in 2009.
The Undertaker married Sara in 2001, and she appeared briefly in a couple of televised shows. This was part of a storyline with Diamond Dallas Page, who was stalking Sara which sparked a feud between the three.
Undertaker and Sara had two daughters together, but the two would later divorce in 2007. As you can see in the photo above, Undertaker had a tattoo of his wife's name on the front of his neck, though it has since been removed. The couple divorced in 2007 and Undertaker married former WWE diva Michelle McCool in 2010.
Terri Runnels helped pioneer the women's wrestling division in the '90s. After spending a brief time in the NWA, she joined the WWF in 1996 as she accompanied husband Goldust during his matches. Runnels was used as more of a cool and seductive manager and became infamous for smoking cigars during segments.
Goldust and Runnels got married in 1993 and had a daughter together. They divorced in 1999, with reports surfacing that Goldust believed she wasn't faithful during their marriage.
Goldust remarried twice and is currently married to Ta-Rel Marie Runnels. Terri was briefly married again, though that ended after two months. She's had a number of other relationships but appears to be single once again.
The Olympic gold medalist and WWE Hall of Famer married Karen Angle in 1998. They had one daughter and one son together, but the marriage ended in 2008. Rumors of her cheating on Kurt with Jeff Jarrett began to surface, and it was later reported that Angle was ruining their relationship with his drug and alcohol addictions.
Jeff and Karen got married in 2010, and have stayed together since. Kurt married actress Giovanna Yannotti in 2012, and they have three children together. Though this wrestling power couple ended under controversial circumstances, both found new loves and have lived happily since.
