This year's edition of Survivor Series will be highlighted by the Raw vs. SmackDown match that'll feature five superstars on each side in an elimination tag team match, and it could be the event where Jason Jordan turns heel.
Team Raw will be captained by Kurt Angle, and his team includes Braun Strowman, Samoa Joe, Finn Balor and Jason Jordan—his storyline son, while Team SmackDown will include Shane McMahon, Bobby Roode, Randy Orton, Shinsuke Nakamura, and John Cena.
The match is imperative for Raw, as Stephanie McMahon announced that Angle will be fired as general manager if his team loses. And if the latest rumor/spoiler by Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio is true, Angle could very well be out of a job. Meltzer is speculating that Jason Jordan could turn heel at Survivor Series by betraying his Raw teammates, which would essentially hand SmackDown the victory.
This would certainly be a shocker for the fans if it truly does take place. It's tough to envision Angle already losing his job (in storyline) considering he's been a huge success as Raw GM for the past seven months. If it came at the hands of his own son, that would make it even more shocking.
For now, this is only speculation on Meltzer's part— though we could get more information before Survivor Series happens on Nov. 19, 2017.
Jordan was originally was introduced as Angle's son on the July 17, 2017, episode of Raw, and has since competed in a handful of matches against some of the WWE's top superstars including Roman Reigns and John Cena.
Despite playing the babyface character, Jordan has often been booed and/or hasn't gotten very strong responses from the crowd. Perhaps his inability to get over as a good guy thus far is why the WWE may be planning to turn Jordan heel.
We'll simply have to wait and see what transpires at Survivor Series. But if Meltzer's speculation has any truth, then this will be a show that nobody wants to miss.
