AJ Styles became the new WWE Champion after defeating Jinder Mahal on last week's episode of SmackDown. With the victory, Styles also set up a match against Universal Champion Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series.
For the first time, Styles and Lesnar are set to clash in the ring, so you can scratch one dream match off the list. However, it's logical to believe that Lesnar will defeat Styles since the beast never loses matches these days.
But will Lesnar beat Styles clean? Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter now believes that Mahal may interfere on Sunday, and cost Styles the match against Lesnar. By doing this, Styles doesn't look weak in losing to the beast, while Lesnar will look as dominant as ever in his WrestleMania 34 match which is expected to take place against Roman Reigns.
Assuming Meltzer is right, then it'll be yet another big win for Lesnar. Dating back to SummerSlam 2015, he has only lost two one-on-one matches. The first was against Undertaker, after forcing Lesnar to pass out. Lesnar's other clean loss came against Goldberg at last year's Survivor Series, when he was squashed in 1:26.

It's also been reported that Styles will likely drop his belt to Mahal prior to WWE's tour in India (on Dec. 8 and 9, 2017). He's set to defend the title against Mahal in a Steel Cage match at Starrcade, so that could very well be the venue where Styles drops the championship.
Mahal isn't on the card for Survivor Series this weekend, but it would be somewhat surprising if he didn't make an appearance. Interfering in the match to help Lesnar win seems logical, and it builds up their match for Starrcade perfectly.
Will the Modern Day Maharaja get his revenge on the Phenomenal One? We'll find out in two days, and we advise Styles fans to not get too upset if he doesn't conquer the beast this Sunday.
