RAW has been pretty boring lately. You'd be lying if you said you don't agree with me. This week though, well, it was a little less boring. It wasn't great. It wasn't even good. It was just less boring. It's a step in the right direction I suppose. SmackDown on the other hand continues to prove each and every week why it's the much better show.

We were treated to two championship matches the week. One on Monday Night RAW and the other on SmackDown Live. One championship was successfully defended and the other championship was lost. Read on to find out who won big as we deliver to you the 5 best and 5 worst moments this week in WWE.

5. WORST - Missed Opportunity

[caption id="attachment_275597" align="alignnone" width="1200"] 2b via wwe.com[/caption]

The number one contender Bayley was pinned by Nia Jax in Tag Team action on RAW this past Monday. And, well, that's pretty much it. Nia just laughed and laughed in celebration and called Bayley "pathetic."

Is Bayley the pathetic one though, Nia? Aren't you the one who is pathetic? You think you're this dominant presence, yet you fail to make a real name for yourself. You pinned the number one contender and then just stood side by side in victory with the Women's Champion, Charlotte.

Now what would have made great television is if Nia attacked Charlotte after. I mean, did she not pin the number one contender, therefore proving she's more deserving of that title opportunity than Bayley is? The Bayley and Charlotte feud is already boring. Inject Nia Jax in there and make it a Triple Threat at The Royal Rumble. Then we'll be talking. If Nia is really this unstoppable beast, she shouldn't be picking sides. She should be doing her own thing.

5. BEST - Ambrose Asylum

[caption id="attachment_275602" align="alignnone" width="1200"] 5a via wwe.com[/caption]

SmackDown Live opened up with everyone's new favourite talk show in The Ambrose Asylum.

The Miz would interrupt and demand Dean Ambrose give him his championship back but Ambrose decided to give him something else instead - a Participation Award. Because after all, The Miz tried. Oh, karma is sweet.

Dean Ambrose might be the one currently holding onto the gold, but you have to give it to The Miz. Love him or hate him, he's the one to bring prominence back to that Intercontinental title.

4. WORST - New Day... Sucks?

[caption id="attachment_275595" align="alignnone" width="1200"] 1b via wwe.com[/caption]

It's only been a month that The New Day have been titleless and unfortunately WWE already has no idea what to do with them. Throwing them in pointless segments with Titus O'Neil isn't really doing these four Superstars any favours. What would have been interesting this past Monday is if O'Neil was actually able to get the upper hand and pin Kofi for a surprise victory. This would A) make us take O'Neil somewhat seriously again (but maybe WWE doesn't want us to take him seriously again) and B) maybe cause a little tension between Kofi and his team.

If WWE chooses to continue with this "feud", why not have Titus O'Neil pick up a surprise victory over Big E next week? Xavier Woods and Kofi beat him, but if Big E lost, then we may have a bit of a story here. Couldn't it be fun to see them competing individually to see who really is the strongest member of the team?

4. BEST - Chris Jericho Wins United States Championship

[caption id="attachment_275600" align="alignnone" width="960"] 4a via wwe.com[/caption]

Chris Jericho has done it. He's won every major championship in WWE.

In the main event of Monday Night RAW, Roman Reigns was forced to put his United States Championship on the line in a Handicap Match against both Jericho and Kevin Owens. Since Jericho got the pin in the end, he won the belt. The match was fine, but enough with these three battling each other over and over please? This was like what, Jericho's 100th shot against Roman's title? How is that fair?

It was fun because it was a title change and all, but we kind of saw it coming. After The Royal Rumble, it would be best to keep Jericho and Owens away from Reigns for the foreseeable future. It's time to switch things up.

3. WORST - Alicia Fox Plants A Kiss On Noam Dar

[caption id="attachment_275596" align="alignnone" width="516"] 2a via wwe.com[/caption]

Noam Dar has a creepy crush on Alicia Fox. So Alicia decided to plant him a kiss backstage even though she already has a boyfriend in Cedric Alexander. Was it shocking? No. It was silly.

Alicia decided she didn't like the kiss, deeming Dar not man enough for her. Okay, Alicia.

3. BEST - Dolph Ziggler Gone Dark

[caption id="attachment_275601" align="alignnone" width="1200"] 4b via wwe.com[/caption]

Dolph Ziggler has officially gone to the dark side, ladies and gentleman. This week, Kalisto looked to gain retribution in his match against Dolph Ziggler on SmackDown. And he kind of did. Kind of in the way that he won the match, but kind of not in the way that he was beaten senseless with a steal chair because he won the match.

2. WORST - Alicia Fox Loses Her Man

[caption id="attachment_275594" align="alignnone" width="516"] 1a via wwe.com[/caption]

The "love" triangle between Alicia Fox, Cedric Alexander, and Noam Dar continued the next night on 205 Live and things took a turn for the worse. Cedric decided he's had enough of his girlfriend's craziness and ended the relationship. Ugh.

Okay, here's my gripe. We barely had enough time to get invested in this on-screen relationship. We kind of just found out these two were dating without much of a story behind it and WWE has already decided to pull the plug before we could even attempt to care. If it's WWE's idea to make Alicia and Noam Dar pair up out of this, it's too out of left field. The Attitude Era may have been more racy, but at least it made us actually care about its relationships. When Test treated Stacy Keibler like crap? We cared. When Lita and Matt Hardy kissed for the first time? We cared. When Torrie Wilson fell in love with Tajiri? We cared.

Alicia Fox, Noam Dar, and Cedric? We just don't care.

2. BEST - The Undertaker Is Back

[caption id="attachment_275598" align="alignnone" width="1200"] 3a via wwe.com[/caption]

The Undertaker made things clear a couple months ago that he is a SmackDown guy and always will be a SmackDown guy. But now he has declared that he's his own guy and will go to wherever show he wants to go. Pretty cool, but something tells me he's now his own guy because RAW's suffering in the ratings. All that aside, it was awesome to see him come out and tell us that he'll be entering The Royal Rumble. Straight and to the point.

1. WORST - Awkward

[caption id="attachment_275599" align="alignnone" width="1200"] 3b via wwe.com[/caption]

Whereas Undertaker's appearance served a purpose, Shawn Michaels' appearance on the other hand was the exact opposite. He came out to promote his new movie (good for him) only for Rusev to come out and tell Shawn Michaels that if he wants his movie to be a success, he should CGI his beautiful wife Lana in it.

Okay, Rusev.

This went on for a few agonizing minutes longer, Enzo and Big Cass came out to make more bad jokes and eventually, Michaels delivered some sweet chin music to Rusev's chin. And that's all you need to know (or didn't need to know).

1. BEST - American Alpha Defend Their Championships

[caption id="attachment_275603" align="alignnone" width="1200"] 5b via wwe.com[/caption]

American Alpha proved why they're one of the best tag teams in the WWE when they defeated Bray Wyatt and Randy Orton in their rematch for the titles on SmackDown this past Tuesday. For being so new to the main roster, it's awesome to see how well they're able to work with WWE's biggest stars. They looked great here and after seeing the dissension in the Wyatt Family, we're excited to see American Alpha move on to the next threat in the tag division.

Who will that be?
