The Rock had one of the most electrifying careers in professional wrestling history. The man got his WWE start as a third-generation superstar that came to the ring smiling as a blue-chip athlete, and fans hated him. However, Dwayne Johnson knows how to create characters and changed to become cocky and arrogant, and The Rock was born.

With that said, The Rock's career was short, similar to Stone Cold Steve Austin. Instead of retiring due to injuries, The Rock went to Hollywood and became a monster star there. As a result, The Rock had more matches after leaving, but with his last match many years ago, here is a look at the last 10 matches of The Rock's career, ranked worst to first.

10 VS. ERICK ROWAN (WRESTLEMANIA 32)

The Rock's last match came at WrestleMania 32, and it wasn't much of a match at all. As a matter of fact, it was another case of WWE bringing back an old superstar to beat new talent that needed help getting over.

This was the Wyatt Family, and The Rock ended up battling and beating Erick Rowan in six seconds. After the match, the Wyatt Family prepared to attack, but John Cena saved The Rock, and the two left together.

9 VS. GOLDBERG (BACKLASH 2003)

Rock vs Goldberg

Believe it or not, The Rock only had eight matches after 2003. His last match before leaving WWE for Hollywood came when he feuded with Bill Goldberg. This was the main event of Backlash 2003 and saw the passing of the torch from The Rock to Goldberg.

The match lasted 13 minutes, and longer matches are not always friendly to Goldberg. Bill won the match, and The Rock left again for Hollywood.

8 VS. JEFF HARDY (RAW 4/7/03)

Before WWE Backlash, The Rock had a match on Monday Night Raw against a surprise opponent. This was Jeff Hardy vs. The Rock on TV in 2003. Trish Stratus played a role here as Jeff was hitting on her, and The Rock looked at her.

Hardy looked bad in this match, and The Rock was 100-percent the aggressor here. The Rock won in six minutes with the Rock Bottom to set up his next match, the loss to Goldberg.

7 W/ JOHN CENA VS. R-TRUTH AND THE MIZ (SURVIVOR SERIES 2011)

Months before John Cena and The Rock fought for the first time at WrestleMania XXVII, the two were uneasy partners in a tag team match against The Miz and R-Truth (The Awesome Truth). At this time, Truth wasn't a comedy wrestler and was a heel. Cena asked Rock to help him here, and The Rock accepted.

This match was the main event at Survivor Series in 2011. The match saw Cena in the ring most of the match, getting beaten and almost pinned over and over. Finally, The Rock tagged in and hit the People's Elbow to pin The Miz. He then took out Cena after the match.

6 VS. JOHN CENA (WRESTLEMANIA 29)

Two of the last 10 matches in The Rock's career came at WrestleMania 28 and WrestleMania 29 against John Cena. The two traded wins in the two matches. Both matches were good, but the second match in 2013 was the lesser of the two.

The Rock came in as WWE Champion, having beaten CM Punk for the title, and lost it to Cena in a 23-minute match. It was the last real match of The Rock's career.

5 VS. CM PUNK (ELIMINATION CHAMBER 2013)

In between the two matches between The Rock and John Cena at WrestleMania events, he fought CM Punk twice. This match is the rematch between the two men after the Rock won the WWE Championship from Punk.

What kept this match below the title change was the ref bumps as two referees were knocked out of the bout, the first costing Punk the title win. Rock ended up winning the match to move on to meet Cena in a title match at WrestleMania 29.

4 W/ MICK FOLEY VS. BATISTA & RANDY ORTON & RIC FLAIR (WRESTLEMANIA XX)

After The Rock left WWE to go full-time in Hollywood after his loss to Goldberg, there was only one match in between that loss and the John Cena matches. That took place at WrestleMania XX and was a special event tag team match that saw The Rock and Mick Foley battle Batista, Randy Orton, and Ric Flair.

This match resulted when Evolution attacked and beat down Foley, and his old friend The Rock came back for a one-time match to help him. Evolution won in 17 minutes when Orton pinned Foley.

3 VS. JOHN CENA (WRESTLEMANIA 28)

The Rock and John Cena fought at WrestleMania 28 in a never-before-seen dream match. The feud heading up to the match was terrific, with Cena calling out The Rock for being a sell-out to Hollywood and the two delivering biting promos insulting each other to the delight of the fans.

Unlike the second match, there was no title on the line here, and it was just for bragging rights. The Rock beat Cena in 30 minutes in a shocking conclusion and one of the best matches in the final stage of The Rock's career.

2 VS. CM PUNK (ROYAL RUMBLE 2013)

The Rock and John Cena were going to fight in a rematch at WrestleMania 29. That match alone should have been enough, but WWE seemed to want more on the line in the contest and decided it needed to be for the world title.

John Cena won the Royal Rumble, and The Rock beat CM Punk for the WWE Championship on the same show. It ended Punk's modern rec0rd-breaking title reign. The good news is that it was a great match, better than any other in the final nine of Rock's career.

1 VS. STEVE AUSTIN (WRESTLEMANIA XIX)

The Rock vs Stone Cold WrestleMania XIX

It seems incredible that one of the last matches of The Rock's career was also the final match of Stone Cold Steve Austin's career. This was the first time that The Rock beat Stone Cold in the three matches they had at WrestleMania events.

Austin went out on his back, which made sense as he was leaving WWE, but The Rock also left shortly after the event. This match was easily the best of The Rock's final ten matches.
