After several years of non-stop working, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is unemployed again.

This time around, though, it's not the unpleasant type and he doesn't have just seven bucks to his name. He might as well call it a vacation as he's probably the most in-demand star around nowadays.

The former wrestler did show up at SmackDown's FOX Premier recently, opening the show with King of the Ring Baron Corbin and Becky Lynch. But, back in August, he revealed having quietly retired from WWE.

Since stepping away from the promotion for Hollywood 15 years ago, The Rock has featured in and starred in several movies. He's probably the actor with the highest usage on his body for 2019.

Apparently, Johnson is on a break at the moment as he has no projects to work on and hasn't accepted any new roles in any upcoming movies. As he revealed to the Wall Street Journal in a profile they did on him this fall, he's actually without a job and he's absolutely loving it.

"I'm unemployed, man!" he told WSJ's Josh Eells. "It’s honestly been the best. It’s so nice to have this downtime with the family, just taking a breather."

The interview took place at a time when The Rock had just finished filming Disney's Jungle Cruise and there's no one who wouldn't agree with the notion that he needs a break.

The actor spent his 2019 getting Hobbs & Shaw to gross $750 million in the box office while doing another season of Ballers. He also had a role to play in Fighting With My Family and, of course, there's Jumanji: The Next Level, which releases this Friday.

Well... It's Not All Fun & Games

The Rock is enjoying the downtime with his family but isn't fully on break as he's traveling the globe alongside Jumanji co-star and best bud Kevin Hart to promote the film.

The unemployment isn't going to last long either, with a packed 2020 coming up for the Hollywood superstar. He already has roles Netflix's Red Notice and DC's Black Adam lined up for the coming year, so he would do well to enjoy the hell out of this vacation while it lasts.
