The Rock Explains Why He Called CM Punk After RAW

The biggest story coming out of RAW on Monday was The Rock calling CM Punk during a promo after the show in front of the live crowd. The Rock managed to get Punk's voicemail and told him the Staples Center was saying hi. As was later discovered, Triple H, Vince McMahon and other WWE officials weren't pleased with The Rock doing that, as CM Punk is essentially blacklisted by the WWE.

Really though, what could WWE do to The Rock?

The Rock responded to fans on Twitter asking why he got the urge to call Punk in the middle of his promo.

I work off instinct, always listen to the people and try to give em something special. Huge positive feedback from @WWE Universe. Fun night

So there you have it, it was just The Rock being The Rock. He aims to please and the WWE clearly loves having him around, so they really can't do much about this besides stewing in their own juices.
