Potential Spoiler On Major Tag Team Moving Brands In WWE Draft

WWE confirmed on Sunday that they'll be holding a draft on the Oct. 11 and 14 episodes of SmackDown Live and Monday Night Raw, respectively, and one major tag team could be among the transactions.

Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio (h/t WrestlingInc.com), reported that The Usos will be back on WWE programming soon. It's also being said that Jimmy and Jey could move to the SmackDown Live brand in short time - although it's not clear if that would come through the draft or if WWE will simply place them back there once they come back.

The Usos haven't competed since the July 29 episode of Monday Night Raw, where they fell short in a triple threat tag team match to Gallows & Anderson. Jimmy was arrested in Florida for driving under the influence back on July 25. Jey had been arrested in Jan. 2018 for the same crime in Hidalgo County, Texas.

Because of these arrests, The Usos were not permitted to cross the border into Canada, so they had to miss the SummerSlam pay-per-view in Toronto, Ontario. WWE decided not to suspend the superstars for their actions, and after being out of action for nearly two months, the former Tag Team Champions are ready to shake up the division once again.

Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler became the new Raw Tag Team Champions at Clash of Champions on Sunday, but it doesn't sound like The Usos will be feuding with them since they're about to move. Rather, we'll probably see this popular tag team feud with The New Day (the SmackDown Tag Team Champions) instead.

We should find out in short time what other superstars will likely switch brands before the draft takes place, although it's been reported that there won't be big changes happening. We'll just have to wait and see how it plays out.

Is A Move To SmackDown Best For The Usos?

Switching brands is nothing new to The Usos. They were moved in the 2011 WWE draft, and they were moved to SmackDown through the brand split draft in 2016. The duo also went over to Raw in this year's Superstar Shake-up.

WWE's tag team division has been lackluster since the 2016 brand split, but The Usos are among the most popular and established duos. With Fox taking over the SmackDown broadcasts on Oct. 2, the brand needs as much star power as possible, and The Usos can certainly help build up the tag team division there. Thus, another change might be best for The Usos here. Expect a feud with The New Day once they return.
