The long run of TNA saw many of the top wrestlers working too often with each other. TNA had a negative reputation for running things into the ground once they realized it worked. Some of the best rivalries at the time turned into secondary matches since the wrestlers involved wrestled more than the fans desired.

TNA also struggled with elevating enough talents into important roles due to a lack of trust in building new stars. This caused various wrestlers to keep pushing their luck working with each other instead of getting fresh new opponents. Unfortunately, TNA had a habit of ruining the appeal of a feud by booking wrestlers against one another too often.

The tag division of TNA saw The Dudley Boyz dominating as Team 3D for their first few years in the company. Bubba and D-Von felt they could add another chapter to their legacies by finding success in the growing promotion after leaving WWE.

Beer Money gave Team 3D new opponents that they had chemistry with. The duo of James Storm and Bobby Roode became a top team during their rivalry with Brother Ray and Devon. Fans eventually got tired of the matches since they faced off too many times on television, PPV, and even on many of the house shows.
