With the releases that have taken place in the WWE the past month, the upside to it all is superstars who didn't get the exposure they deserved, making it big outside the WWE. One just needs to look at the example of Drew Galloway or EC III who are now big players in TNA while superstars like Alberto del Rio and Luke Gallows all became even bigger in other promotions, making the WWE come back for them.
TNA president Dixie Carter has spoken of her intention to talk to some of these out of contract WWE stars in a recent interview:
"Many believe that our actual roster and their wrestling are best in the business. So we are always on the lookout for new talent. In the last few years, we focused on growing home-grown talent. A lot of new talent like EC III, Rock star Spud, Eli Drake, and Bram, there are so many and I could go on. They've grown so much but I think we also did a fantastic job with people like Drew Galloway who was at the WWE and came in and completely relaunched himself.
"There are definitely some incredibly talented wrestlers on the market right now and some will be available at some part of this year. And I do see ourselves talking to them. I think it would be exciting to bring a few into TNA."
While TNA is no WWE, it wouldn't be the worst thing for superstars like Cody Rhodes or Damien Sandow to make a name for themselves in a different promotion. Who knows? Maybe the WWE will come back for them as well.
