At some point in your life, you are bound to make a few enemies along the way. While humans are social creatures, there's absolutely no way that you're going to get along with everybody as differing opinions or personality clashes are a guarantee. However, once your list of enemies starts to pile up, you have to start realizing that maybe the problem lies with you and not everyone else.

It seems that the following 10 people on this list never learnt that last lesson. In all cases these men have drawn anger and disdain from either professional wrestling fans, actual workers from the industry itself or a combination of the two. This could come from a multitude of factors including people being selfish, abusive, a liar or in a few cases being an enemy of professional wrestling.

In most cases there have been several people who have gone on record to state just how much they hate certain men on this list. While all men on this list are hated, there are a couple of factors in place to judge just how we're going to rank these 10 men.

First off, just how hated are these guys? There's always at least a couple of stories (except Undertaker, because everybody loves The Deadman) of how so and so was an a**hole, but these men all have numerous cases of people hating on them in public.

Secondly, just how how much of an impact hav these people had on the wrestling business? If somebody is horrible but we never hear about them or see them, does it really matter at all? To reach into the higher rankings on this list, the men have to have done something substantial to warrant all the hatred they receive.

Finally, there is also a large element of subjectivity to these lists so if you feel I left out a name, leave a comment below to tell me how wrong I am. Now, let the hatred course through you as you read the top 10 most hated people in wrestling.

10 10. Mark Madden

The most unknown name on the list, Mark Madden is a radio host and journalist based out of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and a former color commentator in WCW. So how could this guy inspire such disdain from so many people? Quite simply, he's a jerk.

In the majority of his editorial pieces he comes across as a know-it-all, self-entitled jacka** who, despite not doing much in the wrestling business, likes to think he's a "Super-Genius". Statements he makes are usually so far out there that they cannot be true, like when he said Undertaker hated working with CM Punk because he was too small. Yes because Undertaker has avoided working with smaller men his entire career and clearly enjoyed working with guys like Great Khali and Giant Gonzales (massive saracasm here). Sure, every once in a while he has a good idea but even a broken clock is right twice a day. Also he made misogynist remarks, and that's never cool. If he had more influence than he does, he would have made it higher on the list.

9 9. Vince McMahon

Anybody who has ever watched a wrestling match has to respect Vince McMahon on some level because without him, pro wrestling wouldn't be the worldwide phenomenon it is. Having said that, there are a lot of McMahon haters in the industry.

There are a lot of minor names who have criticized McMahon for not giving them a break, destroying "pro wrestling" and various other reasons but there are a few men in particular who have hated McMahon more than anyone else.

Bruno Sammartino got along famously with Vince Sr. but his relationship with the WWE deteriorated once his son took over. Sammartino removed himself from any affiliation with the company until Triple H mended the fence and got Bruno into the Hall of Fame. Bret Hart had to have been McMahon's biggest hater for a long time because of the infamous Montreal Screwjob but the two have made up since. Ready to pick up the slack left behind is CM Punk. On the Art of Wrestling podcast, Punk called out McMahon for being a bully, a liar and for being out of touch with his own fan base. Punk has repeatedly stated that he has no interest in making amends with McMahon and after hearing the stuff that McMahon did to Punk, who can blame him?

8  8. JBL

Pro wrestling is an absolutely brutal business and only the toughest individuals ever come through on the other side with their sanity and health in tact. That doesn't mean that JBL needs to make the business any harder.

Blue Meanie, The Miz and numerous other wrestlers have noted that JBL has hazed them during their time in the WWE. This hazing took the form of verbal abuse, physical beatdowns (look up Blue Meanie/JBL, ECW One Night Stand 2005) and if you believe the urban legend, shower shenanigans. This same man is now the color commentator of WWE Raw, the flagship show of the company who has an Anti-Bullying Campaign. Nice.

7 7. Triple H

A former 13-time world champion, Triple H has made so many enemies that we actually made a top 15 list of wrestlers dissing The Game.  While I won't go over every entry here, I can essentially sum up the entire article based off of two reasons:

Because he is married to Vince McMahon's daughter, many wrestlers and fans have attributed his success based solely off that fact. Another reason why HHH is so hated by many in the industry because there are numerous stories of Triple H holding wrestlers down using his backstage pull including Rob Van Dam, Goldberg and most infamously, CM Punk.

In his appearance on The Art of Wrestling, Punk blasted The Game for treating him like a second class citizen and also said that Triple H booked himself to defeat Punk at Night of Champions 2011 to squash his momentum.

Luckily for HHH, it seems that fans' anger against him has started to change due to his leadership of the NXT brand.

6 6. Eric Bischoff

It's amazing that for a man who nearly put the WWE out of business in the late 1990s, Eric Bischoff has a knack for making stupid comments and making enemies out of professional wrestlers.

Eric Bischoff can be credited with essentially one great storyline idea- the nWo. Aside from his two years of excellence (1996 and 1997), Bischoff has a horrible track record of writing pro wrestling but that's not why he's hated. He is hated for having terrible judgement when it comes to evaluating wrestling talent.

Let's take a look at the list of wrestling talent that Bischoff thought had no star potential (or wrestlers whose star potential were wasted under Bischoff): Stone Cold Steve Austin, Bret Hart, Chris Jericho, Ric Flair and Mick Foley. Yup, five of the greatest wrestlers of all time and Bischoff dismissed them as not being worth his time. As a result, all of those wrestlers hated Bischoff and while Bischoff has made peace with most of them, Hart still takes shots at Bischoff to this day.

5 5. Kevin Dunn

This man is hated by so many people that it appears that he has done his best to hide himself underground and away from the public spotlight. Or maybe it's the beaver teeth, I don't know.

Unknown to most wrestling fans, Kevin Dunn is the WWE's Executive Vice President of Television Production. What that means is that Dunn is responsible for the overall look of the WWE's television shows and he also exerts a fair bit of power over the creative team as he is also the right-hand man of Vince McMahon.

The hate comes in because of Dunn's outlook on wrestling. According to numerous sources, Dunn doesn't like "professional wrestling". To him it's a dirty word and he's the main reason why the company seems to avoid the word wrestling like it's the plague. He also seems determined to undermine anybody he deems a threat to his power, including Triple H. Any time the WWE has any sort of dumb soap opera storyline or depicts their Divas as being bitchy or catty, you can bet your bottom dollar it's because of Kevin Dunn.  It may be easy to have Jim Cornette hate you, but when Paul Bearer hates you, you know you're the scourge of the earth.

4 4. Shawn Michaels

Alright, he's an easy one. Yes, Shawn Michaels is now considered the greatest in-ring performer to ever strap on a pair of wrestling boots. Ask anybody about Shawn Michaels in the 1990s, and it's a completely different story.

Throughout the 90s, Michaels was a drug addict, a prima donna and in general an asshole to nearly everybody around him. He would refuse to job (lose) to guys, chew them out in front of the entire locker room and was a pain in the ass to communicate with.

Perhaps the most interesting case of HBK hatred would have to be the Undertaker. Known as one of coolest guys and the most respected wrestler in the locker room, Undertaker was not a fan of the man Michael Hickenbottom. In 1997, Michaels dropped the WWE Championship because it was thought he needed knee surgery that would sideline him for quite a long time. According to Bret Hart's autobiography though, Undertaker told Hart that he didn't believe Michaels needed surgery and simply didn't want to drop the belt. His words apparently were, "I'll believe it when I see the scar. The little f***er doesn't want to drop the belt."

While there are still some men who hate current day Michaels (like Gregory Helms), it's almost nothing compared to drug-addled Shawn Michaels.

3 3. Hulk Hogan

Brother! Brother! Hulk Hogan is hated by several personalities in the wrestling industry... BROTHER!

Like Vince McMahon, there's no doubt that Hulk Hogan commands a large amount of respect in the wrestling industry for the work Hogan has done to make professional wrestling as big as it is today. However, that doesn't mean people have to like him.

Most of the hatred towards the Hulkster comes from Hogan not allowing anybody to defeat him in order to grab a smidgen of spotlight from him. Examples like Hogan refusing to job to Bret Hart at SummerSlam 1993 and Hogan refusing to lose to Shawn Michaels at SummerSlam 2005.

About that SummerSlam match, the word was that Michaels/Hogan was supposed to be a trilogy of matches which would allow both men to get at least one victory over the other. Hogan however said that he could only do one match due to his health and because of the creative control clause in his 2005 contract, guess who went over?

The selfishness of Hogan knows no bounds, as an entire list has been made about it. For that, Hogan easily lands in one of our top spots.

2 2. The Ultimate Warrior

Don't let the white-washing by the WWE after his death fool you: The Ultimate Warrior was one of the most hated men in the history of pro wrestling.

Known for having one of the biggest egos in wrestling, Warrior had the reputation of being a selfish prima donna who respected absolutely nobody during his time in the late 80s and early 90s. Men like Bret Hart, Bobby Heenan and Ted DiBiase have all gone on record in saying that Warrior was one of the biggest pricks the wrestling business have ever seen.

Another reason for the hatred of Warrior is that he was so successful by being so untalented. Once you've watched any Warrior match you've seen them all, as it entails the Warrior no selling his opponent's offense and squashing his opponent. All sizzle and no steak.

Then that's not even mentioning his right wing extremism. Warrior insulted just about every minority group anybody can think of and while his list of attacks are too numerous to mention, I will link this Deadspin article which details some of his worst statements.

He might have been an inspiration to millions on screen, but I shudder to think that anybody idolizes the man Warrior (yeah, that was his legal name).

1 1. Vince Russo

No swerve over here. Easily, nobody else has managed to piss off more people that has ever been involved with professional wrestling than Vince Russo. Beginning his involvement with the WWE as a writer for WWE Magazine, he eventually made his way onto the creative team in 1996. Under Russo's writing, the WWE eventually turned the company's product away from the cartoony antics of the mid-90s and into the style that would be known as "The Attitude Era". Credit to Russo for that, but that's where the credit will end.

Once Russo quit the company due to being burnt out, Russo was hired by WCW and began writing some of the worst wrestling shows ever witnessed by human beings. The emphasis on "crash tv" over wrestling didn't endear him to any pro wrestling fans. His horrible and insulting writing drew the hatred of several wrestlers and nearly all WCW fans. As the icing on the cake, he booked himself to become WCW World Heavyweight Champion in 2000. All with the most aggravating Italian-American New York accent imaginable.

He would then help start the oh so creatively named TNA promotion (yup, he was responsible for the acronym) and would go on to be a writer for the company on and off for several years. TNA mind you is often considered the most hideously written television show despite their good roster.

Of course, I would be doing a disservice to not mention the legendary hatred that Jim Cornette has towards Vince Russo. Cornette echoes much of the IWC's gripes with Russo and personally hates him for turning wrestling into short attention span theatre. Watch his legendary shoot interviews for more on that.

For years Russo has been public enemy number one in professional wrestling and for that he lands himself at the number one spot.
