In 2015, WWE fans got to witness some of the most historic moments of all time. Sting made his in ring debut, Brock Lesnar brought "suplex city" to the roster, and the nWo and D-Generation X finally came face to face. Although those were historic moments, there's one thing that 2015 was best remembered for and that was Seth Rollins successfully cashing in his Money in the Bank contract in the main event of WrestleMania 31. Seth Rollins did not only walk out that night the new WWE Champion, but he was the first Superstar to ever cash in on the grandest stage of them all, WrestleMania.

After successfully defending the WWE Championship for seven straight months, The Architect's reign would come to a heartbreaking end during a live show in Dublin, Ireland, back in November. The injury occurred when Rollins was facing off with Kane, as Rollins attempted to do a sunset flip powerbomb off the top rope, but would buckle his knee during his landing, resulting in ACL, MCL, medial, and meniscus tears. Rollins championship reign was cut short, resulting in the title to be relinquished, thus crowning a new champion at the Survivor Series PPV.

Over the course of the past few months, Rollins has been rehabbing like crazy to get back in the ring. Rollins was scheduled to be out 6-9 months following surgery to repair his tears, but it's been speculated that he could return earlier due to being "ahead of schedule."

Since his return date is not guaranteed, we don't know when to expect him, but there are some cool ways we can imagine him returning.

Here is 12 of the best ways for Seth Rollins to return.

12 12. NXT Takeover

We all know that NXT is where Rollins made his mark in the WWE. He was the first Superstar to ever win both the NXT championship and the WWE championship. He paved the road for all future stars of this business, proving that if you can shine in NXT then you could one day make it to the main roster.

There's no guarantee when and where Rollins will return, but he could possibly make a sub par return to where it all started for him, NXT. We've seen superstars return to action at house shows, PPVs, or televised shows, so why should NXT not be a possibility? Expect the unexpected.

11 11. Revenge On The Authority

Since Rollins' injury, The Authority has been running wild. They've been costing Superstars title matches and adding depth to the stable. Adding Sheamus as the new "face" of the company and aligning themselves with the newly formed faction, The League of Nations.

When Rollins makes his return to the ring, he could confront The Authority for trying to crown a new face of the company while he was on the sidelines. He could lash out at them for turning their back on him, while The Authority could claim they felt let down because Seth was never good enough and they made the wrong choice, setting up a feud that viewers would love to see.

Everyone one knows Rollins is an incredible wrestler, so having him as a face could make him very easy to get behind.

10 10. Returning To Align With Ambrose

Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns have kept elements of The Shield alive since Rollins turned on them. They portray themselves as brothers, but they are different in too many ways. With Reings heading for the main event scene, what direction does Ambrose go?

One possibility is Rollins returning to align with Ambrose. If Rollins returns as a heel, we could possibly see the two join forces once again. There is not enough good heels in the WWE, so adding Ambrose to a stable with Rollins could shake things up. Though we're fully aware that a wrestler returning from an injury is likely going to return as a face, Rollins is just too good as a heel.

9 9. Here Comes The Money

After a long time away from the squared circle, Shane McMahon has finally returned to the WWE. He's back, but for how long? At WrestleMania 32, Shane takes on The Undertaker in a Hell in a Cell match to determine whether he takes over Raw or heads back out the door. If Shane is able to defeat The Undertaker, Raw would then be in his hands.

With Shane in power, we could see Seth Rollins return and possibly align with him. We know even if he is in charge of Raw, it won't be the end of The Authority. The Authority will find a way back, thus starting a war, where we could see Seth joining either side. Either way, we're excited.

8 8. Babyface Return

Seth Rollins is the type of guy that you love to hate because he is naturally good at being a heel. He tuck, tails and runs when he's pressured, leaving fans eager to see him lose. His heel move set doesn't show his full potential because his job is to make sure you don't like anything about him.

As much as you hate him, there's a side of him that fans can't seem to get enough of. When The Authority isn't there and he has no choice but to fight, Rollins is visibly the most talented man on the entire roster. The match might not end cleanly, but you will be memorized by his wrestling skills.

If he returns as a face, he could turn into one of the biggest faces in the company. He can show his full potential and pull out all of the cool moves that make him as good as he has been known to be.

7 7. SummerSlam

If Rollins stays out of action for his projected time 6-9 months, then he should be back right around the time that the WWE hosts the biggest party of the summer, SummerSlam. Some of the greatest wrestlers to ever grace the squared circle have made their returns atthe summer blockbuster. Names like Hulk Hogan, Daniel Bryan, and Triple H.

Rollins returning at SummerSlam could be the perfect opportunity for The Architect to re-claim the title he never lost. An added bonus would be if Triple H was still champion and Seth Rollins got to face off against him.

6 6. The Main Event of WrestleMania

Its finally completely confirmed that the main event of WrestleMania will be Triple H defending the WWE Championship against Roman Reigns. It was speculated months ago, before Rollins had suffered an injury, that Triple H would take on Seth Rollins at WrestleMania, but things dont always go according to plan.

We could possibly see Seth Rollins come out during the Main event of WrestleMania during the match. He can act as if he is there for The Game, but turn his back on him, costing him the WWE title and setting up a future match between the two.

5 5. The Raw After WrestleMania

Everybody knows about the Raw after Mania. The raw where the fans are wild and rocking all night long. This Raw has been known for the birth of many famous chants (YES, fandango humming, John Cena sucks) and the return of many Superstars.

After being sidelined for five months, Seth Rollins making an early surprise return the night after WrestleMania would be "best for business". The reaction from the ruckus crowd will rock the building and would make his return to the ring very emotional. He's guaranteed to get a loud pop that could be one of the loudest ovations of all time. Even if it's just an appearance to set up his future return, it makes too much sense to not take advantage of.

4 4. Money in the Bank

Seth Rollins had the greatest cash in of all time during the biggest night of the year, WrestleMania. No one expected it to happen because at that time everyone thought the WWE was giving Roman Reigns the title. Then, Rollins comes down, cashes in the contract, curb-stumps a vulnerable Roman Reigns, pins him him for the win, and scurries away with the title.

He's done it once, so why not do it again? MITB will take place in June, which makes it a possible return date if Rollins is actually ahead of schedule. If he's healthy and billed as a surprise entrant, that would be an absolutely incredible moment.

3 3. The Shield Reuniting

The Shield was one of the most dominant factions the WWE had ever seen, but the faction would come to an end after Seth Rollins decided to buy in and turn on his fellow brothers to join The Authority.

Its been almost two years since that moment, but it's possible that we could see them get back together. The man who brought The Shield down could be the one who builds them back up. They can bill it as Rollins being frustrated with The Authority appointing Sheamus as their new face, and asking his two former brothers to join him against them.

Fans are already eager to the return of Seth Rollins, but imagine the excitement of getting to see The Shield one last time. BELIEVE IN THE SHIELD.

2 2. Crushing Roman Reigns Dreams Once Again

2015 was a tough year for Roman Reigns. It started when he won the Royal Rumble and received one of the most controversial responses a babyface could receive. Just when things looked up, Seth Rollins cashed in his briefcase at WrestleMania 31 and stole the title from him. If you thought it couldn't get worse, then you were wrong, as he was screwed by Bray Wyatt when he was fingertips away from capturing the Money in the Bank briefcase, which Sheamus then won. What did Sheamus do? He cashed in at Survivor Series after Roman Reigns won the title.

So to sum it up, 2015 was a year of crushed dreams and heartbreak for Roman Reigns. The real question is, could it get worse? I think so.

Seth Rollins has already made the Roman Reigns' life a living hell and at WrestleMania 32, it could be the icing on the cake. If he's healthy enough, he could emerge during the main event and distract Reigns, letting Triple H get the win. This may be a little unlikely, but it would set up some interesting storylines down the road.

1 1. Paul Heyman Guy

Seth Rollins has every tool it takes to be a complete success in the WWE. He has the mic skills, the charisma, and some of the best in ring skills the WWE has ever seen. He's The Authority's handpicked choice to be the face of the company. He's everything you'd want in a WWE superstar, but can he get better? Well, there only one thing that could make this man and that's making his return to the ring managed by one man, Paul Heyman.

Seth Rollins on his own is awesome, but with Paul Heyman by his side, he could make his promos must see. CM Punk was incredible on his own and CM punk and Seth Rollins apretty similar. When CM punk was managed by Paul Heyman, he immediately took his character to a whole another level. Brock Lesnar is another perfect example of how a superstar can benefit from Heyman.

If there's gonna be one thing you wanna hear when Seth makes his return, then it's gotta be this: Ladies and gentleman my name is Paul Heyman, and tonight I introduce to you the newest Paul Heyman "guy," The Architect, SETH ROLLINS.
